Re: PureVector initial thoughts...
The idea behind it is solid, but the biggest problem from my point of view is the vagueness of the information and "calibration." When you complete your Aim Lab task, it will just show you that you now have "perfect aim." There's no information as to whether any calibrations were provided between the five scenarios you do. There's no information on what it's ACTUALLY done after calibration. What DPI has it applied in each direction? What's the difference in the directional DPI? Why can't I make my own adjustments after the calibration?
One of the biggest hindrances that I felt I had while being THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD FOR AN UNSPECIFIED AMOUNT OF TIME IN A NICHE "E-SPORT"... was not being able to "trust" my setup. One of the main reasons I stopped reviewing as much during my peak was because changing setups took me out of the game and practice. With PureVector, given the vagueness of the information provided, I start to question what impact it actually has. Would I have hit that shot with a different mouse? Did I miss because of the mouse?
The number of questions and, I guess, "mental burden" it gives you could be a downside of the technology in general. Right now, the calibration seems to just be: "Your aim is now perfect :), enjoy!"
