CM Devendra Fadnavis has announced that the state govt had received the first list of 282 Navy Agniveers from Maharashtra from the Naval HQ .
Accordingly, all 282 Agniveers — 150 Seaman Deckside and 132 Seaman Engineside — have been appointed as police constables, and their appointment orders have been issued.
Good show . Now as envisaged in mud 1980's study , this move should be institutionalized in a seamleess manner with affliation between Corps / Regimental Record offices and Central and State Govt departments / establishments .

Sir this is ongoing tussle from decades there is no demarcation of LAC which both side agreed on , there are points where we visit till 12 PM and come back to base and then Chinese visit the same point later on and later they go back to their base . Certain sectors communication is great between local commanders so there are no issues , few points because of no clear communication we have confrontations with Chinese’s , both side keep enhancing the posture .

My first posting was near Dhaula post from where war started in 1962 with China , I use to see Thangla ridge & Chinese everyday from my window and multiple stories from locals .
I have seen mutiple incursion from both sides in various sectors and it’s like a routine tussle between India and China . There are sectors where we have strong posturing there are some where Chinese have some and both side keep working on enhancing the posture .
My jawans would often say, “Saab, inki maarke aate hain!” Not once did any of my commanders suggested that we couldn’t take on the Chinese because they were a major military power. We were always prepared and willing to face any challenge, regardless of the weapons and equipment available to us.
It is for country and leaders to decide weapons and equipment, soldiers are not there to wait for correct weapon or equipment we will fight with our might if it is required, I can firmly say the same about Lakhs of soldiers deployed anywhere near the borders .
Op Snow-leopard was one fine example so was Doklam and many others which never came out in news , but few political jokers and influencers are making fun of ITBP and armed forces in general .
For DG ITBP I will say “It’s not what you speak, it’s about how you speak” it was poorly delivered and off course political leeches will mint his statement without caring about how it effects morale of soldiers who are at borders .

Comparing broadly :
PLA ground forces have 76 and 77 Group Army ( comparable to our Corps ) in their Western Theatre and few other formations . With these they have to guard entire Tibet & Xinjiang ( both quite restive regions ) , Yunan , Chonging and few other regions too.
Indian Army has 3 Corps , 4 Corps , 33 Corps , 14 Corps and few independent brigades including armoured and other formations deployed to guard the LAC right from one end of Arunachal to the other end in Ladhak .
In addition we also have 17 Corps in East and others in Ladhak to go into the offensive .
So why once again the 1962 like Akashvani broadcast is being made wherein PM Nehru had bid good bye to people of Assam .
