We haven't been using this platform much, and with the switch away from the adorbs blue bird, we are fully done here. While we do continue to participate enthusiastically on Insta, we urge you to subscribe to our emails as the best and only stable option: digitsandthreads.ca/newslett…
"I can still see us so clearly: Me, dumping the tin of buttons onto the floor and sorting them into piles, sometimes by colour, sometimes by shape, sometimes by the number of holes in the middle."
Catching My Breath: How Sewing Is Helping Me Grieve and Heal in our T.O.C.
"I was born into my mom’s creative world: a world of quilting, embroidery, painting, and beading." Read more about Catching My Breath: How Sewing Is Helping Me Grieve and Heal, available in our T.O.c.
We're spending very little time on Twitter these days, and while we'll continue to push content here through an app, being on our email list and reaching us at [email protected] is the best! Email sign-up: digitsandthreads.ca/newslett…
BC folks! @kpwerker is heading to Fibres West today (not as a vendor, just as an excited attendee). Will you be there? She'd love to say hello!
Again, please EMAIL Kate at [email protected] with your pitch. Craft projects or tutorials can be sketched and described; they do not (and should not) be completed at the submission stage. THANK YOU!
👉 A tutorial for inserting a zipper + a companion beginner pattern involving zipper insertion (looking for sewing OR knitting/crochet/weaving).
👉 An article or tutorial on decorative embellishment that may or may not involve mending.
👉 Coverage of public fibre or textile art installations anywhere in Canada.
👉 A blanket pattern in any craft.
👉 A weaving pattern (not tapestry) and/or a tutorial on how to read a weaving pattern.
👉 Profiles of Canadian fibre or textile artists about a body of work, exhibition, origin story, etc.
👉 Article or tutorial about tatting and/or profiling a Canadian tatting expert.
Seeking submissions:
👉 Tutorials related to craft pain points—deep-dives into techniques or situations crafters find daunting or intimidating, whether difficult or not. Topics could include stitching French knots, hemstitching on weaving, how to make and attach pom poms, etc.
We love working with emerging as well as experienced contributors, and we are very keen to work with IBPOC contributors and contributors from other equity-seeking communities. Find more info about submissions and our rates at digitsandthreads.ca/submissi….
We are seeking submissions from Canadian residents on topics listed below, and we would love to receive pitches even if they're not on something specifically mentioned. Submissions are accepted by EMAIL ONLY. Send them to Kate Atherley – [email protected]
As we continue to wait for @ActiveCampaign to restore our ability to reliably send emails, here is our CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! Find it in detail at instagram.com/p/Cpdx1akp99M/

We have used @MemberMouse to power Digits & Threads from the start, and will be keeping an eye on the stability of the features we rely on. So far, we are confident this change will be seamless for us, and we hope it's a great for all involved!
I hinted about this BIG NEWS last week, and I can finally share it now 😍

@ThriveCart Any idea when the service will be back up? It's been down for an hour, and no info available. Thank you!
Our checkout pages are not working right now due to a global issue with our service provider. We're so sorry about this and hope that if this is preventing you from joining Digits & Threads that you'll try again soon. Thank you so much for your patience as we wait!
