I added jiggle physics to OSRS. Why? Because I can. Because it's my calling.

I don't care how much funding the democrats give to the weird woke activists. Don't let them shift the Overton window again. Gaming is healing.
Are we returning to this era?

YouTube is still trying to hide negative feedback. I HATE this. I want to see when people dislike a video. I want people to see when everyone dislikes my videos too. Honest public feedback and real perception of content matter. You should be able to tell when people don’t like something.

Real voice acting is just way more fun. AI voices are fine if they're doing something that real voice actors couldn't. Like actually responding to you in real time.
AI-generated voices in indie games: A great way for small teams to add voice acting, or something players will reject? Devs, would you use it?

Does Epic really think they have a better launcher? Lmao.
🤖 Made with AI
A former Epic Games dev says Steam has become almost impossible to compete with, even if someone builds a better launcher. Kiaran Ritchie argues that developers aren’t really paying Valve’s 30% cut for its services, they’re paying for access to Steam’s huge player base. He believes most Steam users simply have no reason to move to another store, even if it offers a better experience. “They played capitalism so well they broke it.” Ritchie says that Steam has become so dominant that developers can’t afford to ignore it, leaving them with no choice but to accept the 30% cut.

Won't ban AI slop mods but they will ban everything else lmao
Nexus Mods will make AI disclosure mandatory for all mods, but won’t ban AI-generated content. The platform announced several changes following community feedback: > Authors must declare AI usage and explain how it was used in AI-assisted mods. >New rules will let authors control AI use, AI training and derivative mods. Permissions will default to “Ask me”. >Content filters: Users will get easier options to hide AI-generated mods. > AI-tagged mods received just 2.13% of all Donation Points this year. Reward rules won’t change for now. Nexus will also never use mods to train AI or license them for that purpose. Existing mods have until January 2, 2027, to meet the new requirements. After that, violations could lead to account restrictions or mod removal.

ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨 Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". There’s no setting to turn it off. The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.” Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?

Nobody has an issue with people making games for women. Just don't dilute games made for men to try and cater to everyone lmao.
Dressmaker developer Sabrina Becker says women are still an underserved audience in gaming. “We were definitely targeting women from the get-go,” “Women are such an underserved market in video games, even though women love video games.” The team saw how popular dress-up games are on platforms like Roblox and wanted to create a deeper experience for that audience. It seems to have worked: Dressmaker has over 17,500 Steam reviews with a 98% positive rating, and still averages more than 15,000 concurrent players a month after launch. The game has also attracted older players, with some reviewers saying it even brought back their love of sewing.

I think my conversational AI is much more realistic actually
We made the first AI model you can have a realistic conversation with that was trained entirely on speech! Dessa is a full-duplex speech-to-speech model that you can run on consumer GPUs. This is a GPT3 moment for speech.

YouTube is in serious trouble in 2026. Low-effort AI slop is flooding Shorts and starting to steal impressions from real long-form creators. At the same time, they’re removing features people actually like and adding ones no one asked for. Enshittification is accelerating. Bring back the 1–5 star rating system, remove shorts and start listening before the platform is fully cooked.
YouTube is testing hiding the dislike button Users are seeing it inside the three dot menu, nearly five years after public dislike counts were removed

We don't want adapted cultural references in anime
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
