Two things: 1. I was more bored watching this 3-minute video than I was watching the 3-hour movie in question. 2. Bro did NOT need to do this shit from his car. Movie’s been out for a while and he had nothing to say. What was the rush here?

Someday maybe we’ll hear a legitimate critique of the movie. That day is not today.

I’ve been watching clips of Rocky V lately and I honestly can’t believe how bad this movie is. Anyway here’s Rocky doing some breakdance-y karate-type bullshit for no reason:

The movie is, like, not at all focused on whether Amanda Seyfried feels regret.
I’m sorry. I love Nathan Fielder but I can’t imagine caring about if Amanda Seyfried feels regret about how she portrayed Elizabeth Holmes on a Hulu show. Baffling that Fielder and Oppenheim thought this was a critical thing to focus on in the doc.

Some folks are once again mad at me in the comments, but like, Amanda Seyfried is not unclear about her thoughts on The Dropout. She DOES NOT feel guilty about her performance, nor should she. The film does not linger on that subject, no matter how much some people think it does.

The graphic, throbbing, thrusting sex scene in Watchmen made me absolutely howl with laughter. My friends and I fucking lost it in the theater during that one.
What’s a movie scene that made you laugh so hard your stomach hurt and you genuinely struggled to catch your breath? The kind of scene where even thinking about it years later still makes you laugh.

My read on this guy is that he probably thinks unnecessarily hanging dong in the shower is a power move.
"You Can See Everything" director Lance Oppenheim says Elizabeth Holmes' partner Billy Evans "didn't care about being seen naked" in the documentary: "We were in the car ride on the way back from the gym, and I said to Billy, ‘We will give you some time to shower.’ And Billy responded, ‘Want to film me showering?’ I offered to film him in a way that could avoid seeing his genitals, but Billy said he didn’t care about being seen naked.” variety.com/2026/film/news/y…

This honestly holds up really fucking well, and some of this stuff is still very genuinely creepy. The opening scene in particular. Good stuff.
Rewatching for the first time in damn near 30 years. This scared the piss out of me as a kid.

Now reading but I reserve the right to say fuck this without feeling bad about it if this shit’s too dense. I’ve heard that if I can get through and enjoy Infinite Jest I should be fine, buuuut… we shall see.

Or, OR… you’ll realize there was great music in all of these decades.
Once you experience 60s and 70s music you’ll never stop wanting to beat the 80s to death with your bare hands

This was quite good. Well made, well acted. I wasn’t blown away by it, and the whole premise seemed uncannily similar to a scene in “Wellness” by Nathan Hill, but yeah, this was good. Rogen and Wilde were definitely the highlights for me. The last scene was great.

Noticing a weird trend of people thinking this movie somehow had no laughs because it was about something serious. It’s VERY frequently a fucking hilarious movie, and Fielder’s approach is inherently comical.
