While our goal with MeebCo is to steward and promote the Meebits IP for its artistic provenance and cultural value, to deny the financial context in which web3 operates would be a disservice to the community. I loved the mechanism @Rhynotic designed from day 1 and immediately reached out to get Meebits in the mix. I’m grateful to him for including us in this next stage and excited to see the experiment play out. This isn’t financial advice, just pumped to see some innovation in the space.

MeebCo is excited about the upcoming launch of $MEEBSTR by @token_works, a novel protocol building on the success of $PUNKSTR. We are drawn to its elegant mechanism design as much as the financial engineering behind it.
Of its 10% trading fee, 8% will be used to acquire Meebits. Those Meebits are relisted at 1.2x. When they sell, the proceeds are used to buy and burn $MEEBSTR. The remaining 2% of the fee is split evenly between MeebCo, as the collection owner, and $PUNKSTR. MeebCo has publicly committed to use its share to keep accumulating Meebits for our corporate treasury.

Putting my private citizen hat on for a few minutes. My personal thesis for Meebits is that they’ve incredible intrinsic value for being Larva Labs creations. When Punks go to a million, Meebs will be the best way to get LL exposure.
Now add a fully-dedicated venture-backed team working 24/7 to steward and develop Meebits and you get a really great combination of ETH, Larva Labs exposure (Punks beta), and a call option on MeebCo’s execution.
Putting my CEO hat back on, that’s why we hold 800 Meebits in our corporate treasury.
