Illyana had a rarity of people allowed to touch her, let alone hug her. Emma was on top of them due to their history. That soft kiss on her crown got her to calm down a little. She followed Emma to 》》

Emma tightened her embrace, even bringing her lips to the crown of the young heroine’s head to plant a soft, almost maternal kiss. Her hand, resting on Illyana’s arm, began to stroke it in a slow, deliberate motion. “I know you feel used, lost, empty… but, my dear Illyana, >

She knew Emma was right as she followed her towards the kitchen. The embrace was surprising.. but welcomed. Her eyes closed as she gave this all a thought at least. Emma has been her mentor for so long 》》

“Perhaps that little girl is no longer there, Illyana. That much is true.” Emma headed straight for the kitchen, hoping it would be empty despite the early hour. She figured that what the young queen needed most was a proper breakfast—and perhaps a bath, too. “But that isn’t >

Illyana didn't resist but it was clear that she was upset.. Not with this but with herself. Illyana was one of Emma's first students. She grew up in the school under Emma and Scott's era more than Charles. Emma had known Illyana more than many. 》》

Illtana stayed silent for a bit before she felt the hand on her back. A soft hand can feel the tensed up muscle back there as Illyana started to breathe normally. Her fast breathing process slowed down. Her body began to feel the strain she had caused to her muscles. 》》

Emma accompanied Illyana’s final, measured breath by placing a hand on her back, right between her shoulder blades, and gently guiding her toward the exit. The mess left in the wake of the Queen of Limbo’s training session began to sort itself out automatically as soon >
