Rewatching The Nightmare Before Christmas ahead of next weekend’s @Disniversity live show. It feels like a slicker, better musical than most Disney animations.
That’s partly, I think, because Danny Elfman handled both the score and the songs, so there’s a fluidity to the music that you miss in the Frozens, Moanas, et al where score and songs are much more discrete endeavours.
