The elephant in the room that nobody is talking about is that without the guarantee of the triple lock, both the Second Nice and Second Lisbon referenda would have been defeated for the second time.
That guarantee was never given as a temporary measure it was a legal guarantee

They're skewing it in a way that this is about peacekeeping, it's not.
It's about removing a lawful guarantee given to the people of Ireland in exchange for passing both the Nice and Lisbon referenda on the 2nd attempt, because without that guarantee, both ref would have failed

In the 5000 yr history of banking no-one has ever done an imperical study of banking to show where the money comes from- until now. Step up the rock star economist Professor Richard Werner. His amazing qualifications and held positions makes the eye water. He is truly the authority on this subject. Banks are thought of as deposit taking entities who lend money - but that is just wrong. His assessment - Banks dont lend money but they misrepresent (lie) to their customers and say that they do.

European Affairs Minister Thomas Byrne has hit back at former President Michael D. Higgins who accused the Government of being "less than honest" with regards to the removal of the triple lock.
Higgins said the move is a "preparatory move" towards military alliance.
