🔥🚀 The Tesla 2025.38 software update introduces 3D Building view!
The update has been detected and is now rolling out to the 1st batch of vehicles (reaching 2% of the fleet)!
Changelog:
✅ 3D Buildings
You can now see buildings and cityscapes in more detail with 3D view. To enable, switch to Map View and tap the 3D icon.
Requires Premium Connectivity.
✅ Dashcam Viewer Updates
Street names are now included in dashcam event details (when available), making it easier to distinguish between recorded events. In addition, the Mobile Dashcam Viewer now streams and downloads at a higher resolution. Requires Tesla App version 4.49.5+.
✅ Onboarding Guide
The Onboarding Guide helps you get familiar with your Tesla.
It covers adjusting driver settings, using the touchscreen as well as controlling lights, wipers, and Autopilot features - among other functions.
Go to App launcher > Manual > Get To Know Your Tesla.
✅ New Scroll Wheel Functions
Your left scroll wheel includes new options for quickly accessing various vehicle controls, such as Bioweapon Defense Mode, Mute Navigation, and Music Light Sync - if available in your vehicle.
Press and hold the left scroll wheel to open the menu.
✅ Apple Music provides an organized playlist view with folders, expanded artist pages and a Recently Played shelf that displays more of your listening history.
✅ You can log in to your media using a Tesla app notification for a faster, more seamless experience.
✅ You can now choose whether a phone key is required before a driver profile can be selected. Go to Driver Profile Settings > Require Phone Key for Profile.
✅ Important security fixes and improvements

A few weeks ago I raised a concern about Tesla Diner’s in-car ordering: share your car with @Turo/@DispatchEV, a guest could order food & you’d be unwittingly stuck with the bill.
They fixed it in just a week. Two weeks later I finally found time to go test it. @TeslaCharging 👌
While testing @DispatchEV’s fleet management tools I found that “Limit in-car purchases” doesn’t apply to the @Tesla Diner 🍔⚡️🚗

You can now order a Model Y Performance for purchase in the US and qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit.
If you’ve been considering it, place your $250 before midnight tonight: ts.la/ryan81902
Ever forget which side of the street you parked on?
Seeing all your cars at a glance delivers peace of mind and can help you avoid tickets too! 😌

Today I found that we’ve been mislabeling charging times. If your car says you can reach the next stop without charging to the limit, we show the correct “time to continue trip” but label it “adjustable charge limit.” Our estimate is right, the label isn’t. Fix coming soon.
Tired of guests messing with your @Tesla Driver Profile setup?
Protect your streaming logins, navigation history, and drive settings with this DispatchEV.com/app hack:

We don’t recommend turning it off if it’s already subscribed to or purchased, this was just to prevent guests from making an unauthorized purchase without the owners knowledge
We hear you. First, most of these steps are set it and forget it steps that only apply to your first trip. After that, you’ll still want to capture the 17+ photos and review charging receipts.
We’re working with a few other OEMs to support similar if not identical functionality.
TLDR:
1. Prevent Guests from making In-Car Purchases
2. Document condition with 17+ overlapping photos
3. Set & share PIN to Drive as well as Scheduled Tesla App Access
4. Enable Location Alerts to save time and parking fees
5. Review Charging so you don’t miss a reimbursement

I wish we produced our latest video a couple months back. Tesla should also improve the design of that toggle
With Location Alerts, you can maximize turnaround time, minimize parking fees, and even prevent unauthorized off-road or track use.
Tesla’s mobile app wasn’t designed to support multi-car ownership/sharing, Dispatch was.
