I suggest that volunteers join the @USNationalGuard at these locations and show them how democracy works in the United States. No one is going to stop me or anyone else from voting.
More of us than there of them. Let's get out there and show them.

The Nuremberg Trials Taught Us One Thing: Following Orders Is No Defence.
Look at this picture. Now consider the record.
Boats blown apart in the Caribbean, their occupants killed without publicly presented evidence of drug trafficking. An Iranian school bombed, children slaughtered. Fatal ICE shootings, deaths in detention, families torn apart, and allegations of systematic abuse.
And behind it all, an administration drowning in questions about corruption, accountability and the abuse of power.
Nuremberg established a principle every official, soldier and federal agent should remember: following orders does not automatically absolve you of responsibility for crimes. Manifestly unlawful orders must be refused.
With a blue tsunami approaching, congressional investigations will expose what this administration has desperately tried to conceal.
Documents will surface. Witnesses will testify. The money trails will be examined.
The rats may soon abandon the sinking ship.
But here is the uncomfortable truth: Leaving the ship does not erase what you did aboard it.

Do you recognize the people in this photo? It was taken 40yrs ago. The older lady is the former Democratic Governor of Texas Ann Richards. She was also the last lady and Democrat elected governorβ¦until the girl on the right got elected Governor on Tuesday. Gina Hinajosa

This is a bad take, and you should feel bad about it.

Figured I'd post the original since it's being used as a meme. Doesn't admit fault, displaces blame on others, lacks respect for those who served, and has a general suspicion of others. π€

The entire world was rooting for us: all around the world people are in tears over Americans saving their democracy from the authoritarian tyranny of Trump and Republicans.

The gerrymandering didnβt work
The fear mongering didnβt work.
The threats didnβt work.
The bigotry didnβt work.
The $5,000 bribe didnβt work.
Trumps rallies of lies didnβt work.
Maybe itβs time for republicans to just start caring about the American people.

And just like that, this traitorous snake will never hold the Democratic Party hostage again.
And this is why @SenSchumer needs to retire.
We need leadership.

I donβt wanna hear a damn thing about βsmoothing things overβ.
We never have to stoop as low as the GOP did, but we DO need to hold them accountable.
Itβs time for @TheDemocrats to stand up for their base and investigate and impeach.

Against all odds, with almost no one outside of my family, friends, and closest team members believing it was possible - the woman who wrote the tweet below and started this journey by Googling βhow to run for office in Texas,β has flipped an 18 pt Republican seat to become the next Texas State Representative for House District 132.
This is OUR home, and together, we did indeed take it back.
From my day one promise: Zero outside influence. Zero corporate PAC money. Zero values compromised. Just neighbors talking to neighbors and working together to fight for our community.
Of the PEOPLE.
By the PEOPLE.
For the PEOPLE.
PERIOD.
Tomorrow, we sleep. Thursday, we get to work.
Thank you for asking! And for anyone curious about my journey, Iβm happy to share.
I got my first job at Boston Market on Fry Rd when I was 15. Itβs a McDonaldβs now, which is a shame, because I miss the sandwiches.
My second job was at Schlotzkyβs on Mason Rd (old location)
From age 17-19 I worked at Cracker Barrel at I-10 and Barker Cypress.
From age 19-22 I was a bartender. I also got married and had two kids.
At 23, I was divorced with 2 small children and at a cross roads.
I woke up one day and decided that wasnβt the life I wanted for myself or my children. So I moved home with my mom and I enrolled in a Radiology Technology program.
My schedule for the next 2 years was:
School M-F 7:00a-3:00p. Come home, spend time with my kids. Put them to bed and then go to my bartending job from 8:00p-2:00a - back at school at 7:00a the next morning.
I graduated and my first job out of x-ray school was as an x-ray tech in a hospital working what they call a compressed weekend. I worked both Saturday and Sunday from 7:00a-11:00p for a total of 32 hours.
Only, at $16.09 an hour, that wasnβt enough to support my family. So I got an advanced certificate in Mammography and worked at a mammography clinic during the week.
I did that for 4 years. 72 hours a week for 4 years.
Then I was fortunate enough to be promoted into an Imaging Manager position. Not yet ready to slow down, I worked in that position as my day job, while also working at a free-standing ED as a CT/x-ray tech for a 12 hour shift each weekend.
Oh, and while doing all this, I was also chipping away at my Bachelorβs degree.
It wasnβt until 2020 when I graduated from college that, for the first time in 25 years, I had only one job and wasnβt either working a second job or also attending school.
After a break of a few years, I am now working full time and running for office in every second of my spare time.
So, Jay G (if that is your real name), which part of that life experience would make me unqualified to understand the unique challenges that we are facing in this world?
Happy Sunday, everyone!

Jasmine Crockett says Haley Stevens' political career is essentially over unless she wants to join the Republican Party.
She says Haley's tantrum might have actually worked in Abdul's favor because not only has he raised over $2M in the final two days of the campaign but also the Black community can see right through her theatrics.
She says Haley Stevens is not a team player for endorsing Mike Rogers because he's against everything Democrats stand for.
Haley Stevens should be relieved of her committee assignments. What she did was political treachery and there must be a disciplinary action.
