Things vtubers don’t say out loud (but we feel every time)
• You smile when someone says hi first in chat
• Familiar usernames feel like old friends
• You STILL get nervous before going live, even after going live a 100 times
• You love lurkers, and make you hope they’re having a cozy time
• Inside jokes make the whole stream feel warm and personal
• Raids make you feel excited
• And a sub feels like it’s the biggest gift
• Even the scuffed moments become your favorites
You might not always think about it, but you’re the reason that your streams feel alive and personal.
On busy days, and on quiet days, those little moments remind you why you started.🩷

Only after yesterday's Bush & Banter podcast did I remember I drew this to commemorate the IRL Hypehouse event we attended awhile back🩷
It's hard to say when we'll all be in the same place again, but for what it's worth, that was one of my happiest streamer days this year ☺️

I think while people have the right to say “ You shouldn’t worry about viewcount!” is all their opinion, and that’s fine, you need to also look on the opposite side, when you invest your life and full time job into this “career”, which I have and many others, and I have seen drops here and there, it is what it is, but not on this magnitude. This is a concerning thing. This is not a simple “Everyone’s busy.” month. I’ve been here to 10 years almost. This is a legitimate issue with Twitch right now. Viewership whether you like it or not, does affect sponsorships and opportunities. This is frustrating for myself and many others, small or large. And the viewbotting issue was NOT fixed. This punished honest creators out there who worked hard. And to be told there was no issues by the Twitch team was very disheartening to hear. And I believe this is an “Oopsies we made a mistake but it’s not our fault” , and will walk forward. This isn’t fair to its Partners and its streamers who have made a career doing what they love and people who want to. @Twitch @TwitchSupport You either need to revert what you’ve done or make a new change, but this was not it and irresponsible to your platform and caused unneeded stress and frustration to many people.

PSA: big big news for EVERY Twitch users
It was discovered and CONFIRMED by Twitch employees that if
you watch MORE THAN TWO streams at the same time - you are not being counted as viewer!
TLDR: watch maximum two streams if you want to count as viewer and help the streamer

Being a small creator is hard.
You need to get your own clips from your streams
Turn them into shorts for other platforms
Edit your own videos
Plan your content
Grow in more than one platform
Be your own manager
And somehow keep yourself motivated when your chat is quiet
