Loraloma Spicewood, TX David McLay Kidd First time out seeing Loraloma and man what a grand property! Out in the hill country and playing along the cliff side of the Pedernales River lays the new DMK layout. Wide fairways with minimal fairway bunkers allow you to blast Driver all over the ballpark. Absolutely a 2nd shot course where you need to be in the right landing area as the greens are fairly drastically undulated. The fun really begins when you miss the green and you gain multiple options to play your chip shot off banks and roller coaster greens. Zoysia from wall to wall out here is a different feel in Texas. It was a beautiful day and hardly any wind kept the course as scoreable as it can be. Now playing it all the way back at 7,400 yards is a bit deep for me, but it was a bunch of fun and the views at times were spectacular.

This past summer I did 40 rounds of golf in 40 days with a ton of driving wrapped around it all. Never an issue with being tired or felt run down. But back to back nights of concerts and holy shit do I feel being 40 now. Absolutely totally worth it though! Fun concert! Sweet 16 for this music loving junkie. She’s been to 3 concerts in the last 3 weeks. Pretty good birthday month. Weezer and company were a ton of fun. Great transition to finish the night from Buddy Holly into Island in the Sun. 🤘

Got out to Live Oak in Lakeway yesterday afternoon for a fun round. The greens were in great shape and overall ran pretty darn good. The course has a lot of fun decision holes. Dog legs with opportunities to cut corners or lay back to wide parts with longer approaches. So many parts of the course where accuracy is important as you can easily get yourself stuck punching out around the trees. 1st picture is looking back at the tee on the tough par 3 and was able to catch a chip mid air that I thought looked pretty cool

The overall problem with everyone bitching about rankings isn’t the fact that there is a bias towards the SEC. It’s simply that people that get a vote in the AP Poll have no idea what’s actually going on around the country. The ESPN and SEC partnership has absolutely nothing to do with Chris Smith from USC(This is an example) dropped Houston 2 spots and then moved them back up 2 spots for going 2-0 the last 2 weeks. Blame is solely on the fact that AP Poll Voters don’t pay attention like they should, and therefore the AP Poll should not matter in the slightest, but all you fans love to see a little number by your teams name that in fact does not matter. Hold the adults in the room accountable and stop placing blame where it shouldn’t be

Update: Arch has done things to lose them games But also Sark lost them the game by kicking a 53 yard FG instead of gaining 2 yards
