During the last 6 months I had the pleasure and honour to individually teach around 150 AL developers Agentic Development, and they showcased amazing results after returning to their offices. Since then I got many DM messages to teach the same skills to other teams across the world. But it was really difficult to organise this due to my workload. But guys, I heard you. I made this training fully available to all of you. You can run it at your own pace or, if you want my guidance, you have an option for this too. Please check it out 👉 katson.com/workshop-agentic-… Btw, how do you find this short video? :) #MSDyn365BC #BusinessCentral #AL #AgenticCoding

Participants of my upcoming Agentic Coding for AL workshop already got their instructions — how to prepare and come fully ready on Tuesday. If you’re still considering joining, please do it before Sunday. There are two time slots available: 2 AM UTC and 2 PM UTC. I actually think the timing is perfect. Conference season is about to start. And then — a new business season, which I have a feeling is going to be pretty hot 🔥 Good time to get your agents ready. And yourself too 😄 👉 katson.com/workshop-agentic-… #BusinessCentral #AL #AgenticCoding #AI

It’s kind of funny (and shocking) how my feed transitioned from “AI solved the Navier–Stokes Millennium Prize Problem” to “Oh my gosh, it’s folding!!!” … in one day 🙈

I was thinking about Paris (well, about @DirectionsEMEA 2026, to be precise) and what topic to deliver. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been teaching agentic development and already did a bunch of workshops around the world. The next — and probably the last one for a while — is online on 15 September (link in comments). And I thought: people who really wanted to learn how to do agentic development probably already learned it. And I’m sure there will be plenty of sessions about it in Paris anyway 😄 So I decided to talk about what bothers me — and, I think, many others — much more: How much does it cost? And how do we estimate projects in this “brave new world” (c)? Because if AI writes code 10x faster, does it mean the project becomes 10x cheaper? For more than a year, I’ve been tracking where the time and cost actually go in real BC projects, and in Paris I’ll share what I learned. What agentic coding actually costs (and saves). See you at Directions EMEA 2026 🇫🇷 #DirectionsEMEA #Paris #MSDyn365BC #AgenticDevelopment #AI

One week left before my online Agentic Coding for AL workshop. 👉 katson.com/workshop-agentic-… On 15 September I’ll show the workflow I personally use on real Business Central projects to work with AI agents and ship code I can take responsibility for. You’ll get: → 2-hour live session with me → full hands-on training with the portal, videos, code and ready-to-use agent skills → 2 live Q&A sessions with me on 17 & 21 September The goal is simple: build better software, faster, with agents — without giving up quality or control. See u! #BusinessCentral #AL #AgenticCoding #AI #MSDyn365BC

Agentic Coding for AL Workshop — now online. After running this workshop in Ho Chi Minh, Antwerp and Nairobi, I got quite a few requests for an online version. So here we go. 📅 15–21 September 2026 🌐 Online 👉 Registration: katson.com/workshop-agentic-… AI can generate AL code fast. That’s not the hard part. The hard part is making sure the result is something you would actually take responsibility for deploying to production. That’s what this workshop is about. We’ll work through a structured agentic development workflow where you stay the architect and your agents get the skills, context, and process to do the job for you. The format: • 15 September — 2-hour live workshop • Between the live sessions — you (well, mostly your agents 😄) build a complete Business Central app following the hands-on exercises • 17 & 21 September — live Q&A sessions We’ll go through the full development flow: requirements → architecture → specifications → implementation → tests → documentation Use GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or whatever agent harness you already prefer. It’s the workflow that turns generated code into production-ready code. €499 #BusinessCentral #ALDevelopment #AgenticAI #AI #GitHubCopilot

🇦🇺 Agentic Coding for AL Workshop is coming to Melbourne — right before Days of Knowledge - ANZ! Would you take responsibility for deploying an AI-generated app to production? Because sooner or later, you will have to. I’ve seen this many times: "Let’s generate an app from the Teams transcript right after the meeting!" The code compiles. The demo works. Everyone is impressed. "Great. Let’s publish it!" Then, one month later, the customer calls: "Half of our data is corrupted!" And suddenly it is no longer an AI-generated app. It is your app. Your customer. Your responsibility. The problem is not that AI writes bad code. The problem is that we don’t follow a proper process to review it, test it, understand it, and take responsibility for what goes into production. On 2 September in Melbourne, I’ll run a full-day, hands-on workshop on "Agentic Coding for AL". You’ll learn how to turn a customer request into a clear plan, give agents the right Business Central knowledge, and build a repeatable workflow that produces tested, documented AL code you can actually take responsibility for. Not vibe-coding. Engineering! 📅 2 September 2026 📍 Melbourne 🐦 A$799 until 10 August 🎟️ A$949 after that ⏳ Seats are limited 👉 katson.com/workshop-agentic-… #BusinessCentral #DynamicsBC #AL #AgenticCoding #AIAgents #Melbourne

Connecting Business Central's MCP server to Claude Desktop should be easy — but it's not. Microsoft's documentation describes the configuration process for Claude Code (CLI), but it doesn't work for Claude Desktop. I figured out the setup that actually works and wrote the blog for you (or for your agent), that will save you one evening. Enjoy! 👉 Blog: katson.com/how-to-connect-bu… #BusinessCentral #Dynamics365BC #MCP #ClaudeAI

I am bringing my "Agentic Coding for AL" workshop to Nairobi, Kenya! ✨ 🐘 Thanks @francismsangi for invitation and support! Vibe-coding is great for demos, but a nightmare in production. You click "Accept" for AI-generated code in a hurry, deploy, and months later a bug shows up in code you don't actually understand. Feels familiar? 😅 This workshop teaches the opposite: a structured workflow where you stay the architect and the agent does the coding. In one hands-on day, you'll guide agents to build a real Business Central app, the kind of app that normally takes weeks by hand - with automated tests and documentation. You will enter as an AL developer and leave as an Architect, equipped with a team of agents with skills and a repeatable workflow that you can apply to new apps, ongoing extensions, or legacy AL code you have to support. 👑 📅 Wednesday, 30 July 2026 (full day) 📍 Microsoft Office, Nairobi 🐦 Early bird: $297 until 19 July ($349 after) ⏳ Seats are limited. 👉 Register: katson.com/workshop-agentic-… #BusinessCentral #MsDyn365BC #AL #AIAgents #Nairobi #Workshop #MicrosoftMVP

I would like to thank everyone who joined our session "Agentic Coding in AL, Done Right" at BC TechDays and who spent time to evaluate and provide feedback. Yes, you! I'd also like to thank once again (and I'd never be tired to do so) @JeremyVyska and @SXShadowXS for being my startup partners for Cronus Auto 😉 This was the fastest startup exit ever! And of course, my family, who sat for a full 90 minutes in the very last row — after which I got only one question from my 7-year-old daughter: "Dad, so what is the Agent?" 😅 #BCTechDays #MsDyn365BC #AI #Agents

It was February 2024 (time flies🥴) when Microsoft did a 3-day #BCAIHackathon initiative and me with @DmitryKatson and Jeremy launched a native Semantic Search implementation in Business Central. On that prototype we demonstrated that having a backend-native semantic search (so using embeddings at the SQL level) can improve the performances of searches for semantically terms a lot. And now we have it! 🥂 demiliani.com/2026/06/26/dyn… #msdyn365bc #semanticsearch #AI

At @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsAsia I introduced something to the BC community that I think has been missing — a structured way to build with agents. It's called Spec-Driven Development. The short version: stop vibe coding. Start writing specs. The spec is the brain. The agent is the muscle. Full blog post 👇 katson.com/spec-driven-devel… If you missed, please come to @BCTechDays session "Agentic Coding in AL, Done Right" with me, @JeremyVyska and @SXShadowXS (the workshops are already sold out, sorry). Last session of the last day. Again. 🙂

Today I started Directions ASIA 2026 with a "Agentic Coding for AL" workshop. It was sold out pretty quickly. We even had to add chairs at the very last minute. I'm not going to lie — I was nervous. The workshop is completely new. And it's non-deterministic by design — every attendee walked in with a different agent harness, different models, different way of working. No two setups the same in the room. But that was exactly the point. I wasn't there to teach a tool. I was teaching an agentic workflow — one that works regardless of whether you're using Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or something else entirely. Did it work? The feedback says - yes. I'll take that. 😊 Also, it turns out I was not just opening the conference today. I'm also closing it with "Agentic Coding in AL, Done Right" — the very last session of the very last day. So don't leave earlier 😉 And the last one, please join me, @waldo1001 @ajkauffmann @vjekob and @KeptyCZ at the "How We Use AI in our AL Development Workflow" panel - Thursday 5:00 pm. I think you should listen to what we are going to discuss and participate in the conversation. If you have any questions, ideas or just want to say "hi" - find me, i'll be around. Wish everyone a great Directions ASIA! 🚀 @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsASIA #Agents #AI

2 weeks left before Directions ASIA kicks off. 3 seats left at my "Agentic Coding for AL" workshop. The same workshop already sold out at BC TechDays, twice. Register 👉 directionsforpartners.com/as… While preparing for the workshop I realized that the main shift is not the tools we use — it's the mindset we apply. What changes in your head after this day: - You stop writing cleverer prompts. You start building better context. - You develop the habit of researching what BC already has before asking the agent to build anything. - You learn to challenge the agent's plan with your own knowledge, instead of just saying yes. - You understand the difference between the model, the context, and the harness — and which one to change when things go wrong. This workshop is not about learning a specific tool. They change every day. It's about a workflow and a way of thinking that transfers across Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Codex — whatever you use today or in the future. @DirectionsEMEA #DirectionsAsia #BusinessCentral #ALDevelopment #AgenticCoding #MSDyn365BC
