my phone has become borderline unusable; it makes me regret ever having donated

definitely not the case in the analogous situation that I'm personally closest to - the scientist not recognized may have had joy for the one who was, but it was unquestionably a tough day for him. not sure what denying that complexity gets us.
maybe they weren't a "real scientist" though 🙄

I love how many of the commenters just don’t get it

It's a neat approach; I'm looking forward to testing it out in other domains (I'm no longer a researcher, but this seems like a powerful general approach to the situation in which many of us find ourselves: multiple related projects in which learnings are siloed)

Exciting idea! How does the skill trigger? This feels like something that should be in the system prompt or output style (which I think gets appended to the system prompt). Curious as always to see what you’ve built, Nate!

What I deeply love about that viral post about the Doudna video on AI is that the poster so clearly used an LLM to write his clout-chasing, credentialist anti-AI screed

Did AK actually write the document or is this “independent formatting” a summary written by the poster or someone else?

What I especially love about this post is that it was so obviously written using an LLM

thanks for getting this ball rolling, LL. Slay queen.
In new work, we lay out a vision for a high-level programming language for generative biology, called Proto.
Proto composes generative and predictive models spanning DNA, RNA, proteins, ligands, and their interactions, which we use to design complex biological functions. 1/n
