Five and a half hours spent reading various texts covering Sennacherib, Hezekiah, Mesopotamian views on death, and the Edomite archeological finds. Edited a classmate’s section draft, and prepared study guide for exam due this weekend. Busy study day.

Another day of travel outside the norm. My nerves are shot, but I count myself lucky to be able to travel.
Tomorrow the academic grind continues as we shuffle towards the end of the semester. Two exams, three papers, a presentation and a partridge in a pear tree!!
Driving should not be such a stressful event. A leisurely drive through our small town turns into gladiatorial combat as everyone strive to be first; first to the stop sign, first to the stoplight, first place all the way. Highways and interstates are worse. Relax!!
If last night’s election results make one feel like “We” won & “They” lost, then we will continue this back and forth battle. We, the People, includes the winners, losers, and everyone in between. Relish a victory, certainly, but the work is far from complete.

This Election Day, you have the power to change the direction of this country. But nothing’s going to change if you don’t vote.
So I want you to reach out to everyone you know. Help your family members make a plan to vote. Drive your neighbors to the polls. Text your friends until they show you their “I Voted” sticker. And if anybody gives you any attitude, tell them Michelle told you to vote!
Your community, your state, and our entire country needs every single one of you to cast a ballot on November 3. We’re counting on you!

There is so much at stake in the midterm elections.
If you have already voted: Thank you, and make sure your community is ready. If you haven't voted yet, make sure you have a plan to vote today, Tuesday, November 3.
The power is with the people.

You deserve a government that works as hard for you as you do for your family. Democrats will lower costs, protect health care, end senseless wars, and stop tariffs that make life more expensive. If you haven’t already, I hope you vote today. It’s high time we put people first again!
