Badge of honour this morning 🤘🥇
All because the man child MSP didn’t like me defending my friend @AlexNeilSNP when the man child had a go at the former exceptional Cab Sec
Alex.
What you forget son it is men like Alex that fought for decades on independence, through hard work and in turn has now given you imposters a platform.
Plus you forget it is folk like me who work hard to grow Scotland’s economy and pay taxes in order you have a cushy £78k wage plus expenses.
If you cannot rise to the challenge Mr Middleton go get some new balls.
I called it the other day.
You are now seeing the demise of @theSNP .
The Rt. Hon Alex Salmond
wouldn’t have even let you son in the @ScotParl building never stand as an MSP.
#ThePartyIsOver #SNP 🏴
Morning Paul , this has to be one of the most harrowing and emotional calls I’ve ever listened to..absolutely heartbreaking 💔How you managed to keep it together, with such compassion , composure , care and empathy was astounding , and proof if anything that you are one of the most honest and genuine presenters in the UK ⭐️
I hope grieving ( Hamish ) David and his young family find the peace and solace , they so obviously deserve.
I am certain your chat with him has helped ❤️

How do you tell two young boys their mum has just died?
Nothing in my broadcasting career could ever have prepared me for this call. And to think, it was our very first caller, too.

😳 @JohnSwinney telling the Easdale brothers to “watch their language” rather neatly illustrates the very attitude they're complaining about.
He's the @ScotGovFM of Scotland, not the nation's headmaster. His job is to answer criticism, not to expel people who express it in terms he finds disagreeable.
I've experienced this culture myself. Challenge a policy, question a funding decision or expose an uncomfortable truth, and suddenly the conversation becomes about your tone, your language or your attitude. Anything, it seems, except the substance of what you've actually said. It's a remarkably convenient way of avoiding difficult questions while making the person asking them the problem.
Democracy is not simply the right to vote every few years. It also requires the freedom to challenge those in power without fearing that your livelihood, funding, reputation or opportunities will suffer as a consequence.
And that is where my criticism of the SNP goes considerably further than its apparent dislike of dissent.
My concern, informed by my own experience, is that criticism can carry identifiable institutional consequences, while compliance and political conformity can bring equally identifiable advantages.
That is a far more serious allegation than a government being thin-skinned, and it deserves proper scrutiny.
The Easdales have the resources and public profile to challenge the government openly. Many smaller organisations, particularly those dependent on public funding, do not enjoy that luxury. For them, the perceived price of speaking out can be enough to ensure silence.
A government doesn't have to ban criticism to discourage it. It merely has to create an environment in which people believe there is a price to pay for speaking their minds.
So perhaps, rather than lecturing his critics about their manners, the First Minister might reflect on why people feel compelled to use such strong language in the first place.
Democracy isn't a classroom, Mr Swinney. The electorate aren't your pupils, and disagreement isn't a disciplinary offence.
Scotland’s First Minister has told a bus company boss to watch his language after he branded him a dictator over plans to bring the country’s bus network under public control.

🚨👉Using the Trainspotting inspired slogan - CHOOSE SCOTLAND - to launch another
@theSNP Indy campaign at their recent conference. Must go down as one of the most thoughtless and crass decisions ever taken by our FM and his party.
SNP: Stronger For Being Morally Repugnant!
Just weeks after it was announced that Scotland had the highest rate of drug deaths in Europe . An absolutely shocking fact which should be treated as a national emergency.
@JohnSwinney incredibly, and to many peoples horror, used a Trainspotting inspired slogan - CHOOSE SCOTLAND -to launch another @theSNP Indy campaign at their recent conference.
Which given the dark and deadly heroin infused theme that runs through this iconic movie , must go down as one of the most thoughtless and crass decisions ever taken by our FM and his party.
What were they thinking ? Did they think ?
Now this 🤦🏻♂️ what a terrible advert for our nation 🙁
