I do find it interesting that some of the same individuals who are against enrollment funding for public schools knowingly support it for ESAs. Someone should try to intelligently explain that disparity in policy.
Kelly Rasti (@KellyRasti) profile pictureKelly Rasti@KellyRastiOct 6
Senator @Menendez4Texas made great points re: enrollment based funding. TX is 1 of 6 states that does not fund public schools for each child that is enrolled. Absences outside the school’s control lead to diminished funding, even though the child will be back tomorrow. #txlege

Bc SB 2 tied the amount of the voucher to the amount of avg funding a public school student generates, if the #txlege wishes to increase a particular stream of funding for public schools - ie safety, transportation, special education, teacher pay - the fiscal note for that…

Gary Patterson and USC’s defense absolutely dominated against a physical in your face Fresno State team. 0 points allowed. 9 - 1st downs (only 5 thru 3 quarters) 116 total yards, 54 yds thru 3 quarters Forced 2 turnovers 5 sacks 7 TFLs 2 safeties If USC can dominate these teams. This is a sign they will be VERY competitive versus other playoff contending teams.
