Holy cow - Kyle Larson loses the lead and then shoots from a cannon and wins Talladega, his first drafting track win. Byron p2. Hamlin lost spots in the last lap and unofficially p8. #GAdrivers AHill almost won, but faded to p14, Elliott p36.

Logano says it all there: "Happy to be alive."

Fitting to enter Talladega with seven title contenders and leave it potentially with only two.

BTW, Ross Chastain will get free pass for his efforts there.

That Herbst hit. And he already has had a concussion this year. Wow.

Another title contender out and in a big way. An accordion effect from Gilliland and Larson sends Logano sideways and upside down. Jones, Herbst, Suarez with big damage. Others involved, too. Red flag. Five to go.

Chastain leads Logano on a resurgent top line - and is p25 -1 lap

Logano and Briscoe are outside the top 20 and trying to make some noise in a third line.

Hamlin followed Hill four-wide up the middle and is now in the top 10. And the field hung Hocevar in the middle after he got his lap back and drove to the front. That is the price he pays for all the withdrawals he makes.

Joey Logano just barely wins Stage 2 over Larson. Briscoe p3. They are the only of the seven title contenders to get Stage 2 points.

Hamlin p19 with LF damage and is not in the thick to get stage points.

Hamlin with damage in the wreck - does not seem major.

Boom goes the dynamite. Looks like Wallace and Blaney connected. Reddick, Blaney heavy damage. Wallace has moderate damage. Elliott beached out on the apron with flat tires.

Chris Buescher wins Stage 1 after RFK Racing pushed hard and built a huge gap on rest of field.

Larson told to pit before pit road opens under stage yellow because they are so close on fuel.

Buescher being told they are right on their fuel number and they may save some fuel at the end of the stage.

Bell will have to do a pass thru for too many crew members over the wall.

Bell says he has a flat tire and is going to pit.

After that sequence, the RFK cars only lost three seconds on the lead they had...they lead p5 Blaney by 38 secs.
