One of my tutoring clients asked me this week what my plans are when I get older since I don’t have any children. I told her that by my calculations I have several children and with all the kids I’ve taught & tutored, there should be plenty to come make sure but I’m good.

I know it’s going to get harder… But this first term of classes for my doctorate…has not been bad at all…

I have been enjoying teaching Red Scarf Girl to my 7th graders! This curriculum was introduced my first year as an instructional coach and it’s been very exciting to teach it in the classroom

I’m going to get up early… an make it to my classroom an hour before school starts to hang up my student work samples (allegedly 🤪) I’m probably actually gonna be pulling up on two wheels like I am on most days 😂

Today, we honor Dolly Parton — a lifelong champion for children, literacy, and the power of books. 💛📚 Her life of service and belief that every child deserves the opportunity to read will inspire generations to come. A lifetime of service. A legacy of literacy.

I promised I would rest this weekend…. But I needed to get some data out of my head and onto a spreadsheet so I can plan properly, now that that’s done I will eat my lemon bundtlet while watching Dateline. 😂

Little reminder to end your teaching week: you don't have to get everything done this week.

I had a fantastic first full day of school, but I can tell that I’m going to be absolutely exhausted by the end of the week
