Except it’s not a royal scandal is it - it’s the everyday story of trailer-park trash figures airing their domestic dirty laundry in public. The tragedy is that the children of Prince Harry are caught in the middle of this sordid debacle.

Was @AngelaRayner lying, or just ignorant, when she said ‘exports to the EU have fallen 20% since Brexit?’
Why didn’t @bbclaurak challenge her on that?
Car crash interview. £874 million to get about 4,000 people off the street.
That’s £190,000 each. Buy them a house.
Instead it’s contracts, outreach teams and councils deciding where the cash goes.

I’m increasingly convinced there needs to be a national conversation about ADHD and all the other behavioural conditions as ‘diagnoses’ balloon in this way…
Kent NHS Autism and ADHD bill explodes 45-fold!
Spending soared from £640k in 2024 to £28.91M in 2026- a staggering 45x increase.
Yet this year’s budget is £20m with the latest spending forecast at £32.1M. That’s 60% higher than the budget!

Went to Lincoln for confession. Afterwards, newly shriven and perky, I went to visit the cathedral. It’s wonderful.
Unfortunately, a band was loudly tuning up for tonight’s ‘ABBA By Candlelight.’ Couldn’t really think, let alone pray. And it cost thirteen quid to get in.
I know it costs loads of money, money, money to maintain a cathedral (let alone pay all those slavery reparations) and the CofE performs a valuable public service by keeping them open, but even so…
Thank you for the (choral) music CofE but knowing me, knowing you, I’ll take a chance on the pub instead.
‘A serious house on serious earth, it is’ writes Larkin in Church Going. Not in Lincoln it’s not.
ABBA by bloody candlelight!

Today is St Crispin's Day of Shakespearian renown. St Crispin is the patron saint of cobblers and leather workers, and his name appears on this c1830 apron worn by members of the Shoemakers Society of Duns, Berwickshire, now in the People's History Museum, Manchester. 1/2

Extraordinarily irresponsible and dishonest - even by the low standards of Jolyon.
In the context this is strongly encouraging violence. Disgusting.

Dawn Butler makes a powerful point about inherited debts being owed by the modern generation. I'd like to thank her for this.
It today's terms freeing the slaves cost around £17Billion (using GDP values) on top of which Royal Navy deployments for the 60 years or so they were active in hunting down the slaves ships and disrupting the slave trade cost the UK another £30Billion to £50Billion at today's value (again using GDP values).
Using the figures above we get a sum of between £47Billion and £67Billion that Black Britains and Black people from the former Empire owe the UK Treasury. And this is before any calculation is considered for the compensation to the families of the 17,000 sailors who died on these operations.
Having explained so cogently why this sum should be paid I look forward to @DawnButlerBrent's suggestions as to a payment plan.

This week a self-described "influential think tank", the IPPR, advised that the "UK must seek EU membership”. Charlotte Gill was not surprised to find it was funded by George Soros and the European Climate Foundation. dailysceptic.org/2026/10/24/…
