Not a lot of positive debuts from the NBA’s rookie class last night…. But that’s professional ball! Welcome to the league rookies!!
I’d say Keaton Wagler had the most balanced debut against Sacramento, but will go back through the tape on all these rookies.
I love when the NBA makes me look like a fool after just one game
Already knew I was going to love watching the Wizards this season. This game confirms that. This team is going to be FUN.
As expected, the Grizzlies have owned the paint so far against the Jazz. Great rebounding advantage, and the length at forward, not just center, hasn’t made life easy for the Jazz despite Keyonte George and Darryn Peterson doing their best.
Yea, Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball will be must-watch television in primetime. Damn these two are fun together
This Timberwolves offense has been BEAUTIFUL to watch. Everyone’s in control, and Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels have taken advantage of clean looks from deep. The LaMelo effect.

On Aday Mara: he looked as well as anyone could've hoped last night. Obviously the rejection-lob sequence is what you'll see on social media, but overall his movement is as good as I knew it was advertised, his touch, and you'll see more layers mixed in from the preseason as this year goes on. I can't wait to see more of him playing. Picked him All-Rookie Second Team on the pod.
Catching up on Spurs-Thunder this morning, MAN we need more of that. Stephon Castle hit some HUGE shots to keep San Antonio within striking distance, but a fully healthy OKC roster is still so versatile and dynamic offensively. That chess match will be just as excellent this year
That Cason Wallace floater is such a good shot for him to be able to get to, especially coming off that PnR action
Some of the 76ers shot selection and offensive flow hasn’t been great (though it’s been better in the 2nd half as they’ve shared the ball more) BUT a major positive is this team has controlled turnovers. Winning that margin will be HUGE for this team.
As expected. 76ers offense is ROUGH. But it’s what is going to happen until this team abandons 1v1 ball and starts playing a complementary offense. Going to take time to tone down those bad habits.
Love LeBron being used as a screener early on in this 76ers offense. That’s a whole new way to unlock functionality with this Philly group. DHO, slips, short rolls. LeBron can solve so many basketball problems working as the “big” in screening actions.
Pistons scrapping and clawing back in this game through defensive grit and movement threes. We have a ball game folks.
Detroit Pistons still have a clogged toilet offense around Cade Cunningham. Spot-up shooters aren’t enough when you have two non-shooters on the floor. You need guys who can actually create next to Cade.
Neemias Queta looks even better from last year, Paul George fits like a glove in Boston’s offense, and Jayson Tatum is in his bag as a playmaker. Yea, Celtics going to keep it moving in the East.
We’ve gotta see Ausar Thompson up his midrange attempts this season. He walks into so much space by the other team’s design. Punish them for it. Open up passing lanes to create other shot types by forcing defenses to guard him differently.
