Adam immediately perked up once he found out Ledger was raising and said something to the extent of: "I love those guys! Any way Boost can participate?"

After a meeting ran over, Adam jogged upstairs to wash his hands and grab a bite from the pantry. On his way to the restroom, Adam walked past the meeting room where Esprit and Tim were chatting.

Meanwhile, in the basement of Hero City, @AdamDraper was running @BoostVC with @BraytonKey @BoostVC was (and is) extremely deep with crypto and has invested in @DraperTable faves like: @SnapshotLabs, @coinbase, @AragonProject, etc.

The pitch was to convince Tim and @drapervc (the master fund) to get in on the deal. Tim understood great technologies as with #BTC, no doubt. Tim had even owned a Ledger! Yet his only hesitations and slight concerns were around the brand and outcome size of the business.

Esprit was in and they wanted to close the round quickly. So one email and a phone call later, Esprit was sitting across the table with @TimDraper and the @drapernetwork at Hero City in San Mateo.

The story starts in 2018 in Europe. @EricLarch, CEO of Ledger at the time, was raising a $75MM Series B. After a successful A round in 2017, they were ready to roll again. Their first stop was Europe's Draper Esprit (now @MoltenVentures).
