“There are three responses of #Design — yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.” 💡

"Rome was not built in a day and neither are accessible websites and apps."
Heard this quote in @edXOnline's @w3c Intro to Web Accessibility Course and wanted to pass this along! #a11y
Coming up: The @fearlessbmore team is heading to Chicago for #HIMSS23!

If you tell yourself “I want to go to more networking events,” then commit to it! I admittedly dragged my feet to get out the door this event, but as I stand here in a room full of inspiring leaders to celebrate #InternationalWomansDay, I’m so glad I got out of my comfort zone.
(Pst, I worked on this project!) It's so cool to be a part of a site refresh that impacts millions of users. 💜

Infinite #scrolling can create great user experiences, but it also has weaknesses. Consider 3 alternative #DesignPatterns that may work better for your product: A load-more button, integrated pagination within a long scroll, and traditional pages nngroup.com/videos/alternati… #UX
My family thinks I make websites look good. (I mean, yeah, but as a Product Designer I am also looking at #WebAccessibility, if we're following #usability heuristics, and that we're building around the needs of the users.)
How websites work > how websites look.
Don't be that person that walks into an awkwardly silent meeting without a #dadjoke prepared.
Save this one for later to break the ice:
Last week I tried out #ChatGPT for the first time.
Initial thoughts…
3 seconds in: “Am I doing this right?”
10 seconds in: “It actually looks like a person is typing this out.”
30 seconds in: “Crap, this is spot-on. Is #AI going to take my job?”

1.) Hold parents accountable for gun-related crimes that their children under 18 commit
2.) More conversations in schools about how to handle conflicts & stop bullying
3.) Escalate red flags reported by teachers

There have been more shootings than days so far this year and more shootings in 2023 than at this point in any year since at least 2013.

What do you think, will #ChatGPT replace jobs in the #UX field?

Love how #JustinaMiles got people talking about how great it was to have an energetic #ASL interpreter for the #SuperBowlHalftimeShow.
Hope this opens up more conversations about how to improve #accessibility. There's still so much work to do!

I just started reading "Green Lights" by @McConaughey and immediately got hooked. SO many good quotes and concepts to think about. If you're looking for a book that will get you in the right mindset going into 2023, then read this!
