The two movies dominating film discourse this weekend are a new restoration of a film from 1971 and a 3 hour documentary from Nathan Fielder. What a time to be alive.

To be going through what I can only assume is something horrific in his personal life and also be forced to abandon a passion project he’s poured years of work into, I feel awful for Reeves. Prayers up for him.

Steven Soderbergh is set to direct the remainder of ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’. Him and Reeves will work together and remain in communication until filming has ended, with Reeves taking over post-production duties when ready. (Source: Deadline)

Elizabeth Holmes inviting Nathan Fielder to live in her house 34 days before going to federal prison is the most insane psychological standoff in modern history She spent a decade faking a deep voice and wearing black turtlenecks to scam Silicon Valley out of $900 million. Then she invited the ONE guy whose entire career is dedicated to catching people acting fake on camera to document her life. She tricked Henry Kissinger and Walgreens, but thought she could out-smart the creator of The Rehearsal.

This time last year, Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said that releasing movies in theaters was "an outmoded idea for most people" and that consumers wanted "to watch movies at home." Today, movie theaters have scored their biggest weekend of all time at the global box office.
