Wrapping up an engaging couple of days with a presentation by our final year PhD student @GabboV introducing his latest data on #mtDNA point mutations in human iPSC derived myofibers #iPSC #mitochondria
Now on to the wine to celebrate🍷
Great talk by @ChiHaoyu on his #PhD project modelling Down syndrome associated Alzheimer’s Disease using patient derived NPCs #mitochondria #iPSCs @uclcdb
Our PhD student @ChackoAnitta opening today’s Postgraduate Research Symposium @uclcdb presenting her work on “Investigating the impact of mtDNA point mutations using patient fibroblasts and hiPSC derived neuronal models”
Thank you to everyone who attended our @uclcdb social yesterday and made it a great one! Here are some pictures of the event
@DuchenLab & @SzabadkaiLab
Congratulations @ChackoAnitta for this well-deserved recognition!
Thank you to all the board members of the @BFWGraduates for organising such a great RPD event. I thoroughly enjoyed the day listening to all the great presentations and the discussions that followed. I'm also delighted to have been awarded the 1st prize for my presentation 😀

We are delighted to present The Keilin Memorial Lecture to Professor Michael Duchen in 2024! @michael_duchen’s work currently focuses on the dialogue between cell signalling pathways in mitochondria, and the roles of mitochondrial dysfunction in disease.

It’s over 34 years since the first cause of mitochondrial myopathy was identified @LondonMito by Holt, Morgan-Hughes, and the late Prof Anita Harding. Since then 100s of causes have been identified but we still lack a cure. #mitoawarenessweek #WMDW @4Lilyfoundation @MitoAware
