Today we preview 2022-23 from the perspective of our W1, who will again be looking for promotion from @HockeyWestUK Trelawney Div. 1.
With CSM, @trurohockeyclub and @StAustellHockey replacing Falmouth 2s, Newquay 2s and Penzance 2s, we have a few more 1st XIs to play this year!
With @HockeyWestUK releasing the list of divisions for next season (good work guys), here's our preview of what next season holds in store for our teams, starting with the M1 in Div. 1 South.
The big news for our 1s is that we have a LOT less travel this season #phew
We received this lovely note from @chard353 & @NeilBar57017178 after last week - very much appreciated by our M1. Thanks to the guys for umpiring brilliantly and taking the time to make the long drive south. Shout out to @SheptonMalletHC too.
#noumpiresnogame @WestHockeyOfcls
Three of our teams have already completed their games, including a belting 3-2 win for the M1 against @ExeterUniHC 5s, however the M3 are only just starting their warm up as the prepare to face @Tavistock_HC. Team news is in:

Full time: 5s 2-3 @DuchyHC
Congrats to Duchy and thanks for making the trip. Unlucky to the 5s #sadreactsonly
Full time! 6-1 to the 3s. Well played chaps.
Our man on the ground @Ben_Entwisle is heading to the Sand Siro to get the latest on 5s v @DuchyHC
Full weekend results to follow, but first...
Massive shout out to Amy Looker (aka @Tatmoo13) who played her 100th game for the club on Saturday, scoring six (6) to take her club tally to a phenomenal, ridiculous total of 302 (yes, 3.02 goals per game...)
#thisgirlcan
NEW UMPIRE!
Big shout out to Rick Searle, who has completed @EnglandHockey's Online Level 1 Umpiring course this evening
#noumpiresnogame @CHUmpiring

Good call. Sensible decision, and takes the pressure off clubs and their members. Also, our M1 will take this....

TEAM NEWS!
Just a couple of hours until the Mixed XI head south to take on Penzance Hockey Club in a club-first Christmas friendly, and a chance to say thank to the club who were there for us during a tough 2020
Even the weather has cleared after some torrential rain earlier!
It's Matchday!!
The Mixed XI take on @_PZHockey at 12:30pm down at Penzance Astro - the first time we've played any hockey during the Christmas period.
Looking at the weather, sort of understand why now....
