Heartbreaking, I'm sponsoring to 19yr old uni students from Zaporizhzhia, studying here in England on line now also working part time, it's no way to start their adult lives, they'd never left their country or families before but I'm so proud of them, a credit to their country.

NHS CALLED HIM A NUISANCE. A TRIBUNAL CALLED IT A WITCH HUNT.
Andrew Smith spent 28 years as an NHS nurse. Served in the Gulf War. Not a single blemish on his record.
Then he raised concerns at Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust @MSEHospitals about staff being wrongly denied recruitment and retention payments. He pushed. He represented his colleagues. He did exactly what a union rep is supposed to do.
The Trust decided he was a nuisance. They hit him with a disciplinary process. Then they sacked him for gross misconduct.
He took them to tribunal. Won. The judgment described what happened to him as a witch hunt. Senior nursing officers were personally criticised for their conduct.
The Trust appealed. Lost again.
Then came the remedy hearing, where reinstatement should have been the obvious outcome. Instead, a trust manager told the Employment Tribunal that they were worried Andrew might continue raising concerns if he came back.
A manager told a tribunal, out loud, that they did not want their own vindicated employee reinstated because he might keep flagging problems.
He was not reinstated.
Meanwhile, one of the senior nurses found by the tribunal to have mistreated him walked straight into a director role at NHS Improvement. No consequences. A new title. A better salary.
Andrew Smith's children had to use their own savings to keep him and his wife housed. He had been effectively blacklisted from @NHS work, unable to secure positions he was more than qualified for.
He wrote to the National Guardian's Office (@NatGuardianFTSU) asking for help with reinstatement, as they had promised in 2017 to support unfairly dismissed whistleblowers.
They declined to review his case while tribunal proceedings were still ongoing.

When I first raised Poundland last week, I was told by Westminster talking heads and the Tories that it was certainly “kaput” and the 12,000 jobs must all inevitably go. Some leaned in, arguing the “creative destruction” would be good.
Others made a stupid straw man argument that I was proposing to nationalise it. As if you can’t even question bosses when so much is at stake.
They showed scant interest in the workers, suppliers or frankly the taxpayer.
My point was, and remains, why should a business be put into administration when there appears to be multiple offers to buy it as a going concern on the table?
That doesn’t seem to be in the best interest of the taxpayer, the workers or the suppliers. The taxpayer alone stands to lose hundreds of millions if this business needlessly goes under with unpaid taxes and benefits.
And since I made this argument, we’ve learnt of more potential offers. There has been another in the last 24 hours. As of today, there appear to be at least three bidders - maybe four. I can’t opine on their credibility, but it doesn’t suggest Poundland is “kaput”.
Gordon Brothers haven’t responded to my letter. They need to account for their actions. I’m pleased my intervention has promoted others to enter the fray, in government and in parliament.
A government that cares about working people asks searching questions in these situations. It doesn’t throw workers to the wolves. That’s not anti-business, contrary to what some out of touch ideologues say.
You can bet they would take a different view if it was a different type of business to Poundland. The employees of firms like this are to them, as a former Prime Minister once said to me when I was arguing over a similar point, “just fungible low wage workers”.
Reform UK is the party of working people. We’ll unashamedly stand up for them. To defend free markets, you sometimes have to expose their excesses.
Let’s hope raising this can save as many jobs as possible at Poundland this Christmas.

Over the past seven months, more than 55 of these missiles have been produced.
The total inventory of 3M22 "Zircon" missiles exceeds 120 units, with more than 30 units manufactured over the last seven months.
Production of the Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" missile has been temporarily halted due to issues regarding targeting accuracy.
Kh-101 cruise missiles remain among the primary weapons used by the aggressor for large-scale missile attacks. Monthly production exceeds 80 units.
Stocks of 3M14 "Kalibr" cruise missiles currently exceed 450 units. The monthly production rate is approximately 29 missiles.

Komyshuvakha, Ukraine.
Russia simply dropped an aerial bomb on a local school where people had gathered to receive humanitarian aid. And when they went to a shelter, Russia dropped another NINE (!!!) glide bombs on it.
The result: at least 24 people killed, including at least two rescue workers who had arrived to help the victims.
Someone please explain to me how this is anything other than yet another blatant act of genocide committed by Russia against Ukrainians.

You are liar, its that simple.
Labour added £4BN to energy bills to pay wind farms profits for not generating when wind isn't blowing.
Tax payers subsidising electricity sold to France because we joined EU grid and export at cheap rate for the French.
Bills already up £100s because ofLabour, up more £100sin January. Most expensive in developed world, ten times some nations, half or a third more than others.
10 000s jobs lost to companies that have taken investment out the UK and intoEU because your LABOUR energy policies.
The only way Britain can take control of its bills and bring them down for good, is to reform our energy system so we are less exposed to global energy shocks.
Last week's Budget was about giving people breathing space with the cost of living, while we continue driving towards cheap, clean power - with affordability as my number one priority.

The government’s grandest plane, an A321 jet, took off from Stansted at 6.05 a.m. this morning. Burnham wasn't on it. It flew 34 minutes to Manchester to collect the PM, then set off for the Commonwealth summit in Antigua. Guido estimates the detour cost around £20,000 of taxpayer cash. Avanti not good enough for him?
Flight tracking data shows the jet landed in Manchester at 6.39 a.m. and left again at 8.06 a.m., heading for a refuelling stop in Newfoundland before the Caribbean. The government eventually publishes what every trip on the plane costs. Starmer’s same-day trip to Paris on in April came to £39,756 at roughly £20,000 a leg. Stansted to Manchester is shorter than Paris, but every additional leg brings its own landing and handling fees. About £18,000-20,000’s worth according to Guido’s fag packet maths…
The whole jaunt, there and back, comes to about 21 hours of flying. Based on Starmer’s £121,239 trip to Yerevan in May and Yvette Cooper’s £148,700 trip to Washington in December, long-haul flying on the plane costs between £9,500 and £12,400 an hour. That puts Burnham's full trip at about £250,000.
Burnham took the same government jet from Glasgow to Manchester in July to open No10 North, despite a choice of trains. When Liz Truss used the same plane to fly to Australia, @AngelaRayner called it a “ridiculous waste of half a million pounds on a private jet trip”. Thoughts on this one, Ange?
