I might be higher on Paul Osaruyi than the rankings suggest, and I’m completely cool with that. There are certain athletes you watch and think, if the game catches up to the physical tools, you’ve got something special. That’s where I’m at with him. Just a BEAST!

Kansas is one of those programs I’ve always respected, even from the outside looking in. Out of the blue bloods, Kansas has always had a more “mature” feel to me. They play with control. They don’t look rushed, they rarely beat themselves, and defensively, when they have the personnel, they are tough as hell! There’s a quiet confidence about Kansas bball. A mature, established feel that I’ve always liked. Duke vs. Kansas before the season even starts? What a treat for hardcore college bball fans!! 🏀 📸@DukeMBB

Keep an eye on Derek Dixon at Arizona. I think he’s a little underrated. I like how poised he is, how he controls the ball, and how steady he looks out there. There’s a reason high-major schools recruited him out of high school. Give him time as the season unfolds. I think he’s going to show people what he can do 👀

I wonder if UNC could be the ultimate dark horse for DeMarcus Henry. 👀 I have NO sources. Just my own read of the situation. Duke was a dream school, and offered him. But I wonder if he wanted to feel more heavily pursued by Duke than he did. UNC was also a childhood dream school. Could that combination make UNC more appealing than people realize? Almost a “you had your chance” situation. Just a thought. All of his finalists are great programs and opportunities. This one really feels like a toss-up.

Duke has only played at Allen Fieldhouse ONCE in program history. February 20, 1988. Duke won 74–70 in overtime. If you think Allen Fieldhouse is loud, imagine what it’s going to sound like when Duke comes to town 👀🔥
