Mikel Arteta deserves every good thing coming his way, both now and in the years ahead. The man has poured so much into this club, endured criticism, setbacks, doubts and immense pressure, yet never stopped believing in what he was building. He has given Arsenal an identity, restored our standards and made us believe in the club's ambitions again. The work, commitment and attention to detail deserve every bit of recognition.

I'm convinced that if you gave him a choice between scoring 15 goals and winning the Premier League or scoring 30 and finishing 4th, he'd choose the former without a second thought. First, the penalty not awarded was questionable. Now, a reckless tackle goes unpunished with no red card. I really want to believe the referee is simply trying to balance the game rather than deliberately trying to prove just how incompetent he is. These decisions are becoming difficult to explain.
