Spent much of this week telling people in person, but now for a wider announcement.
My time at the KT is coming to a close. My final day is Monday.
Just wanted to say thank you to the community at large for welcoming me to Kokomo. I've enjoyed it so much, I'm sticking around :)

So I am watching this meeting rn.
Very interesting tid bit just got dropped that Walmart has "closed on" about 7 acres of land in Appaloosa Crossing. Trying to get more info on this as Zionsville and Walmart had a drawn out legal battle over a previous proposed store years ago.
The agenda for the Tuesday meeting of the Zionsville Plan Commission includes a rezoning request for a grocery store at U.S. 421 and 300 South.
I've been told by multiple people it's a Whole Foods 👀

There are three school board races in Zionsville this fall.
All three feature a current board member vs a Republican challenger (this is the first year school board candidates can declare a party).
Here are our Q&A's for each race:
In Union Township, it's Jennifer Valentine and Rachel Brandli.

Idk, maybe I'll start sharing some of my stories again, who's to say.
In other elected official news from Boone County, the county's election board ruled Craig Melton did not violate election law for posting signs that said "reelect," although he's running for an office he hasn't held.

Real interesting situation playing out in Boone County — and something I've never seen before — government leaders are trying to remove the auditor.
Auditor's attorney argues the claims don't meet the threshold removing elected officials from office

The suspect accused of starting the downtown Zionsville fire on July 10 allegedly admitted to doing so to two different people, according to court records.

I enjoy playing ball when it's hot out, but really don't enjoy sweating through my pants at work. Like cool, two showers today.
Zionsville sisters Alicia and Victoria Flores closed out their softball careers helping take Northern Kentucky to its second-ever regionals appearance.
I caught up with them as they reflected on a journey that has almost always included each other.
