Yea yea security is important and all that jazz, but I'm sure we don't need strong ciphers to protect s fucking blogpost.. come on, provide some compatible fallbacks or provide plain HTTP...
We shouldn't revolutionize farming, we should jump directly to synthesizing food from arbitrary mass. There is not going to be some incremental path from current farming to synthesizing.
Random airport related rant: If you're showing consideration by bringing only a small carry-on backpack, chances are you'll be forced to sit with said backpack taking up legspace, but if you bring the max allowable size case, you'll be rewarded with guaranteed overhead space.
Finally got around No One Lives Forever.. Put in CD, install.. Not working on Windows 10.. Install VirtualBox, Install WinXP, 3D accl for XP deprecated.. Install VirtualBox 6, Install 3D accl. DX8 and 9 accl works, DX7 (req by game) broken. Only WINE works. Donates to WINE.
I'm sceptical about cryonics, not the tech, if that's solved then.. why resurrect someone? Where's the economic incentive? What can the person from the past contribute with that's so valuable that it's worth spending the money on bringing the back ?
For all the variety in computer cases, there are surprisingly few which will afford me a CD-ROM drive, 5.25" floppy, 3.5" floppy and 5.25" hard-disk drive. That's like.. 4x 5.25" or 3x 5.25" and 1x 3.25" bays, how is that hard to find, those are rookie numbers..
After being banned from a mastodon instance for arguing that tone of skin should not be a basis for discrimination, I feel like twitter is probably still a better platform for public discourse.
Within this week, I've installed OS 9.2, Ubuntu 22, and Windows 10.. Something is wrong in the world when OS9.2 was the least crappy.. I understand that Microsoft is actively working on killing the desktop pc through terrible user experience, but why is Canonical doing it ?

I found this punch card with embedded microfiche from 1988 on the laying in the ground today. Didn't realize microfiche and punch card were still in use in 88.
