So they get to scan the entirety of humanity's collective knowledge to train their AI and do whatever they want regardless of copyright or theft for profit, but if regular people start doing that then suddenly it's "Wrong"? The hypocrisy is palpable.
ANTHROPIC IS CRACKING DOWN ON VIDEO GAME REWRITES 🚨
Claude Code picked up a new rule around Oct 27, sent from Anthropic’s servers under a flag called "tengu_heron_brook". There’s no setting to turn it off.
The full rule: “Do build original games, games in a genre, and games from the user’s own designs and assets. Don’t build a recreation of a specific existing game, even if it is renamed or called original.”
Is this the end of game rewrites, modding and everything in between?

If I could I would invoke my 5th year of eligibility just to play with this guy. He REEKS of IT. Every person in that building says this is who he is everyday. This is the “culture” every team is dying to find. An OL helping the cart out of the stadium before he’s even gone to celebrate the win????? In this landscape?? Inject it into my veins

This is nuts.
I will continue to use AI, both local and cloud models, in all of my open source work. It makes me insanely more productive. I'm not going back. I've been coding since 1985 - there is no way I'm ignoring AI technology.
The r/OpenSource subreddit has officially banned anything using AI. In any way. Violators will be permanently banned.
Which means… r/OpenSource will ban anyone submitting anything that, in any way, involves… the Linux kernel.

Lovie Smith spent the last 40 years coaching in the NFL and college without a single hiccup and people say he is the most polite and respectful person ever but we supposed to believe him and his son jumped out the window because a high school kid called an audible? Ok
BREAKING: Desert Ridge head football coach Miles Smith has resigned. Miles’ dad Lovie Smith, a volunteer coach, won’t return.
A source tells 12Sports administration wants to allow some of the kids who were suspended for the season to return.

This is my goal for All Pro Football 2K8. This is now achievable and I can finally envision this in a football I enjoy playing.
Genuinely one of the funniest people on the planet

If theres one thing Star Wars should keep making its video games with guys like this
PS5 plays PS2 games directly from the disc and PS3 support is coming
The Jailbreak scene has shown that people can run games from these systems via emulation
Not only that PS2 disc support now works as well and PS3 disc support is set to be added
If these things end up working well, Sony has had the ability this entire gen and seemingly chose not to put the effort into disc-based backwards compatibility on PS5
