It's usually the last grasp type of move of a dying regime.
The #Commanders have hired Steve Wilks to work with the defensive coaches under Dan Quinn and Daronte Jones, per me and @RapSheet. The decision to hire Wilks was made last month. He started last week.
Wilks will help with game planning. He won't be with the team on game days.
It was obviously beyond time for MD Football to go in a different direction. Mike Locksley had plenty of time and couldn't get it done. We've had him on the show the last few years. You feel bad for the human part of it.
BUT that $9 million buyout has got to ease the agony. It looks like he made something in the neighborhood of $35 milly as the head coach here in College Park. We should all be so lucky to get fired after that run of good earning!!

Scary caveat to the Terry McLaurin injury. Most recent cases I've found show a return to play rate for this injury for NFL players between 50%-58%. This is a BRUTAL injury. Very difficult to overcome. 🙏

Everyone is killing Jayden for not just throwing a YOLO ball on 4th and 2. He's just not wired that way. Especially early in the 2nd quarter. We can disagree.
What is more frustrating to me is his tendency to leave the pocket too soon (which can happen with mobile guys) and he consequently doesn't see Williams open and then just runs out of real estate FAST.
He's not gonna just chuck it to a covered guy there IMO. That's not who he is.
