ECHO will improve these areas’ critical infrastructure and essential services via a multi-level Resilience Ecosystem. This a network of people and institutions that make societies safer, adaptable and prepared like Critical Infrastructure operators, Emergency Service Providers and local/regional authorities.

ECHO will solve this problem by uniting these groups and developing the following for them: An EU-sovereign Knowledge Hub – a web-based catalogue of resources; An Information Sharing Protocol – a framework on how to manage and share resources; A resilience Strategy – a plan for how peri-urban areas can prepare for, respond to and recover from challenges; AI technologies for multi-hazard threats.
