JJ plays like this all year and engineers a playoff run, this is very possible.
Jaxson Dart has taken his last snap as a New York Giant. That 1st-round pick we get for him will hit like crack.

With #ElectionDay less than 10 days away, voters deserve the unedited, unfiltered truth about what Americans like them want and need. Unfortunately, that’s not what they’re getting. It’s a privilege to be involved in our democracy, and that privilege should be taken seriously. However, too many news sites (like the one I’ve quoted below) are misusing and abusing that privilege to mislead or even actively misinform the public at the very moment we need honesty and accuracy the most. The political right is trying to discredit polling just because they don’t like what the results show. The political left doesn’t accept the fact that most Americans want significant change, just not the changes they’re proposing. There is some truth on both sides. And that’s the point. We have lost our ability to see, listen, and respect viewpoints that aren’t our own. We are too quick to dismiss and condemn, and too slow to embrace and empathize. So, to correct the record that social media has distorted beyond all recognition: Trump voters are less likely to participate in polls than Democrats… But that doesn’t fully account for the dramatic swing towards Democratic candidates in the upcoming midterm elections. To be clear, voters are upset with the lack of affordability, the ongoing military engagement with Iran, and a feeling of being ignored and forgotten by the policy people in Washington. In other words, Americans are mad at everyone. But since Republicans are in charge, they will absorb the brunt of the public anger just like Democrats did in 2024. That’s what really happening across the country, and to ignore it is to ignore reality. There is most certainly a ‘blue wave’ coming, but I don’t think it will be as wide and deep as the ‘tsunami’ that many blue partisans are declaring. President Trump still has incredibly passionate supporters across the country, but not as many or as passionate as they once were. There is something for everyone to criticize. There is something for everyone to embrace. And once again, that’s the point. Let us build a democracy where everyone is heard and respected, and the highest value is the truth. If we continue down our current path, the consequences will be an American society unable to unify and an American people unable to see a better future for themselves and their children.
Seasoned pollster and commentator Frank Luntz warned CNN last week that flawed polling practices may be giving Democrats a false sense of security about the upcoming midterms and could crush their hopes of a blue wave. Luntz appeared on "CNN News Central" and… w-j.co/s/0bc2c

And this is ultimately the problem. Cashman is committed to a roster of power hitters that strike out 200x a year. And Boone allows for shitty fundamentals in the field. There is no situational baseball with the Yankees. They can mash through a regular season, but suck in Oct.
The Brewers play the exact brand of baseball the Yankees seem completely incapable of understanding

I was heavily influenced as a kid by Top Gun. To me, even back then — even with Mav's wildly confident aggression, Ice Man's perfect flat top and jawline, and Slider's impeccable physique — I knew Viper was the coolest of the cool in Miramar. RIP, Tom Skerritt.

George was a winner. Winners Win. Hal is a loser. Losers Lose.
“The only reason we give a damn about him is because of who his father was.” @stephenasmith gives a bold statement about Hal Steinbrenner and the Yankees 🗣️

But a successful season according to Dumb & Dumber. Hal sucks
Yankees really had a rotation of Cam Schlittler, Max Fried, Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, Ryan Weathers and Will Warren and still didn't win a single game in October

Hal Steinbrenner on whether the Yankees season was a failure: "Winning 93 games is not a failure. Playing in the Division Series is not a failure. It became a failure because we did not do well."

Great analogy
The Yankees have become the MLB version of the Savanah Bananas. The stadiums full, the jerseys are selling but none of it really means anything.

Textbook definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Hal sucks!
Can confirm that Aaron Boone will return for a 10th season as Yankees manager. His current contract runs through 2027. @pcaldera was on it.

A ‘RED RISING’ movie is in the works at Paramount • Francis Lawrence (‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’) set to direct • The story follows a young miner living on Mars who attempts to bring down the color-coded class system (Source: hollywoodreporter.com/movies…)

Jazz Chisholm perfectly summarizes the entire Boone era Chilled, relaxed and care free During 162 Jazz blossomed into a borderline superstar..... but when the bright lights of the playoffs were turned on Jazz wilted I blame Cashman (and Hal) for this
Klapisch "When Jazz was in Miami, Derek Jeter was there as the owner and Don Mattingly was the manager. That’s two great Yankees who understood tradition and played the game right. They both met with Chisholm on repeated occasions and begged him to get his head straight. ‘You have superstar talent. You have to get your head right. You have to focus. You have to make this a priority.’ Not even they could get through. The Yankees knew all this when they traded for Jazz. It’s not like Chisholm’s reputation was a mystery to them. But they thought that a clubhouse filled with veterans like Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger and Gerrit Cole could get through to him."

It's impossible to overstate how impressive the Rangers have been to start this season. Far more established teams would have folded after losing Shesterkin, but this group seems to have found even more resolve. It's a complete departure from what we've seen over the last two seasons. Sometimes the most fun seasons as a fan are the ones you never see coming. Nobody expected this start and even fewer expected it to continue after the loss of their best player. Who knows where this ultimately goes, but it's hard not to love what we're seeing. This is a group worth getting behind.

Yankees must fire Boone and hire Cora. Strip the captaincy from Judge. Cut ties with Stanton Jizz and Grisham. Reinstitute NO beard policy and uniform traditional cohesiveness. Hire an advisory panel of Jeter Arod Guidry and Paul O'Neil. Shit can Michael Kay. Teach Pride Tradition intelligent hustle and aggressive baseball. Know you'll be benched indefinitely if these rules are not adhered to. This formula will win a championship
