Editor-author relationships are wild. Like, some authors are professional and kind but still intimidating, so it's best behavior. And some you can send that screaming gif of Jonah Hill when you're excited for them.

Nature is powerful. We all came from nature and one day, we will return to nature. Connecting with nature is connecting with our source of life. Nature uplifts spirits and grounds anxieties. From nature around my cabin in the wilderness, I’m forwarding joy, hope and positivity.
I put all the social media apps on my phone into one folder. Y’know, because I definitely have enough self control to not open a folder.

Apparently this is the year my Facebook feed becomes more friends posting about their partners than dads.
Facebook was kind enough to remind me today of how long it’s been since I was a young, confident, optimistic writer.
The fact that I ask myself these questions means I do care though. And maybe I’ve been less committed to it in the last few years, and I feel disappointed in myself, and like I’ve disappointed that writing teacher at uni who really believed in me.
