Not just talking energy, seeing it up close. We recently visited Repsol’s operations in Pennsylvania for an up-close look at how our natural resources are helping power homes, businesses, and our economy. Pennsylvania has the resources and workforce to produce more American energy — strengthening energy independence, supporting good-paying jobs, and helping lower energy costs. We are making sure to protect our air and water, streamline permitting, and support domestic energy production.

Partner appreciation post! 💚 Celebrating 20 years of impact with our @SchuylkillWater partners. Since its inception in 2006, the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund has awarded more than $6 million in funding, supported 136 projects, and helped permanently preserve over 2,000 acres of high-priority lands throughout the watershed. We were able to see projects highlighting these restoration efforts across the Schuylkill River Watershed & celebrate the 2026 Schuylkill River Restoration Fund grant awards. This year’s eight grant projects will help: 🌊 Restore streams 🚜 Reduce agricultural runoff 🌧️ Improve stormwater management 🚰 Protect drinking water throughout the Schuylkill River Watershed 👏 These investments continue to make a lasting difference for the Schuylkill River, local communities, and the drinking water resources we all depend on.

It was a busy and productive day for the Trump EPA in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia on Friday. @RepJenKiggans joined me in Smithfield to announce over $90 million in support of 83 projects for the Chesapeake Bay program to keep improving the health of the Bay watershed.   Afterwards, I saw EPA’s progress first-hand at the Atlantic Wood Industries Superfund Site in Portsmouth, a cleanup that is vital to keeping the Elizabeth River ecosystem healthy and supporting economic activity in the region.

🔋 Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries power many of our everyday devices but if they’re damaged or charged incorrectly, they can overheat, catch fire, or even explode. ⚠️ Use the right charger, charge on a hard, flat surface, unplug when fully charged, and watch for warning signs like heat, swelling, smoke, or strange smells. Always follow your community’s e-waste disposal guidelines ♻️

A view of what our divers see while conducting science on the Ohio River! Our scientific dive unit teamed up with @USFWS to support freshwater mussel assessments at long-term monitoring stations near Neals Island and Buckley Island in WV. During the dive operations, scientific divers collected, identified, and returned freshwater mussels to the river. 🐚💧 These assessments help scientists monitor mussel populations and better understand the health of the Ohio River ecosystem. And here’s an exciting find: a Black Sandshell mussel has pink/purple glitter attached to its shell, marking it as one of the mussels transplanted at Neals Island in 2016. Finding it alive years later provides evidence that transplanted mussels are still surviving and thriving. Glitter tagging is a popular, cost-effective method used by wildlife biologists and conservation groups to mark and monitor endangered freshwater mussels. Because mussels are dull-colored and bury themselves in riverbeds, a bright dab of glitter makes them dramatically easier to relocate during population surveys.
