Just got back from a quick trip to DC. Grateful for the chance to meet with some of our elected officials, but the real highlight was getting to meet with Speaker Johnson and then pray with him in the Speaker’s Chapel.
We also had the unique privilege to visit the House floor, and pray over the seats and the people who sit in them. As I was walking that center aisle that the President himself walks down to give the State of the Union, it all hit me. So many decisions shaping our country are made right there. Surreal.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to learn more about and see the faithful work Southern Baptists are doing in DC. The @ERLC presented over 10,000 signatures to our leaders asking congress to defund Planned Parenthood. I pray it comes to fruition.

"Southern Baptists believe that ‘God alone is Lord of the conscience.’ Because of that reality, it is essential that healthcare professionals have strengthened conscience protections as they seek to provide care for others in a way that is consistent with their deepest convictions. We are thankful for Senator Lankford’s continued leadership in championing the Conscience Protection Act, which would provide critical assistance in curbing conscience abuses across the country"
