Our combined Leadership Academy II cohort went to the Kansas State Capitol where we had State Senators Mike Argabright and Brad Starnes as our hosts along Kristin Magette from KASB as a guest in the afternoon. Our day together was all about advocacy and effective communication.

I sat down with a group of superintendents today to talk about my journey in public education and the impact of attention vs. inattention. Whether on the road or in the classroom, being distracted can have serious consequences. “If I walk toward you, I’ll get to you. But if you walk toward me, we’ll get to each other sooner.” I’m always walking toward others to build connections that last. Whether it’s in a conversation, a classroom, or on the road, meeting people halfway makes all the difference. @GreenbushESC @ESSDACK #KSed #BuildingConnections
