Law enforcement reform must make a difference in people’s lives. 🇺🇦🇪🇺
In Lviv, we brought national & regional partners together to advance reforms that strengthen public safety, protect people’s rights and build trust in law enforcement across Ukraine.
⚡ Financial schemes do not wait for the power to return, and criminals are not afraid of the dark. We provided 10 portable power stations to @ESBU_gov_ua, adding to three generators delivered last week. This will allow ESBU detectives to continue working even during blackouts.
EUAM supports Ukraine’s law enforcement reform Coordination Council with expert advice, helping connect technical proposals with senior political decisions and advance reform amid Russia’s war of aggression.

Protecting rights even more important in times of war. Good to meet 🇺🇦Ombudsman @lubinetzs & hear first-hand about challenges his team faces. Glad that @EUAM_Ukraine can contribute in practical ways too–incl with power stations to keep reg'l offices working during power outages.
Protecting human rights cannot stop when the power goes out.
During @ctaylor_EUAM's meeting with 🇺🇦Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, we provided 10 portable power stations to help regional offices continue their vital work during outages.

1/2 Reality in Ukraine. After a night of heavy Russian attacks, spent in a shelter instead of our scheduled night train, we finally left an almost dystopian Kyiv at dawn—smoke hanging over the skyline, the sun an eerie orange through the haze.
Our train east was evacuated twice.
