I attended the General Assembly @EUIResUnion this evening - it is really phenomenal to see how far this community has come together in constructive solidarity since I joined it just over eight years ago (when we had no union!)

Within the two years of official existence as an organisation, the @EUIResUnion has helped to bring to the forefront several structural issues at the EUI. I was honoured to take part in the executive board of it during my first year, please consider to participate!
Run for the EUIRU Board! It is an immensely rewarding and fun task with the potential to achieve real change at the EUl. If you are interested in running, please drop us a line via email, social media, or let one of us know in person by October 21st.

🎉 Great news: Ilaria Salis MEP is free!
This is a significant victory for justice and a defeat for repressive far-right leaders like Hungary's Viktor Orbán.
Today & Tomorrow are the High Council meetings at @EUI_EU. We hope the reps of the Member States took our intervention last year to heart & will do their utmost to move towards grant equality and better researcher representation.
Show some courage, WE NEED CONVENTION CHANGE!

Today, we intervened at the High Council. This is the statement we read. Grant Equality Now!
Once again the Spanish representative from @UniversidadGob is not coming to the High Council. Spanish researchers have to live precariously while their government fails its duties under the EUI convention!
#EUIUniquelyUnequal #SpainIsDifferent
At @EUI_EU there is an insane grant disparity among researchers. In all of this, Spain @UniversidadGob @CienciaGob keeps ignoring our demands for decent living and working conditions and they don’t even show up to the HC @EUIResUnion #EUIUniquelyUnequal #SpainIsDifferent

Today we disrupted the #SOU2024 to call for a ceasfire and end to genocide. We cannot support an event in which companies complicit in genocide are given a platform. The SOU has no place in our research institution. @EUI_EU @EUIResUnion
📍badia cloister, tomorrow, 13:30!
We demand that the EUI abolishes, or withdraws from, the State of the Union and that the EUI fully supports the organisation of an annual bottom-up researcher-and-staff led (un)conference.
