I've been building a new programming language called Kelft, and I'm excited to start sharing the journey.
The idea behind Kelft is simple: as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly involved in writing software, developers should still be able to understand and control what they're building.
Writing code is one thing. Knowing that the software meets its requirements is another.
Kelft explores this challenge through two concepts: Core, which describes executable programs, and Intent, which describes expected outcomes, constraints, and verification contracts.
There's already an experimental compiler and a VS Code extension, both available publicly on GitHub.
Kelft is still under development, and I'll be sharing demonstrations, engineering progress, challenges, and what I learn along the way.
I'm looking forward to connecting with others interested in programming languages and the future of software development.
Build with AI. Stay in control.
Below is a quick 26-second look at Kelft in action: writing a simple program in VS Code, running it through the compiler, and seeing the output in the terminal.

It is said that three people were sentenced to death by the guillotine, and they were: a theologian, a lawyer, and a physicist.
The theologian's turn came first, so they placed his head under the guillotine, then asked him:
"Do you have any last words you'd like to say?"
He said:
"God... God... God... it is He who will save me."
Then they lowered the guillotine, and just as it reached his head, it suddenly stopped!
Everyone was amazed, and they said:
"Release him, for he has spoken the word of God!"
And so the theologian was saved.
Then came the lawyer's turn, so they placed his head under the guillotine and asked him:
"Do you have any last words?"
He said:
"I do not know God as the theologian knows Him, but I know justice... justice... justice is what will save me."
Then they lowered the guillotine, but it stopped again just before reaching his head!
The people were amazed once more and said:
"Release the lawyer, for justice has spoken its word!"
And the lawyer was saved.
Finally, it was the physicist's turn.
They placed his head under the guillotine and asked him:
"Do you have any last words?"
He said:
"I do not know God as the theologian knows Him, nor do I know justice as the lawyer knows it, but I do know that there is a knot in the guillotine's rope preventing it from falling."
They looked at the guillotine and indeed found a knot in the rope that was keeping it from working.
So they said:
"Fix the knot!"
And as soon as they did, they lowered the guillotine... and it severed the physicist's head.
And so, not every truth must be told, nor must everything you know be revealed.
Sometimes silence is wisdom, and keeping some knowledge to yourself is a form of intelligence.
Do not try to be an open book to everyone who approaches you; for you do not know who reads you out of curiosity, and who is waiting for a single line from you to use it against you.
It is intelligence to know the truth... and wisdom to know when to say it..!
Everyone’s posting the $25 Elon transfer like it’s the milestone.
It’s not.
The milestone is whether @XMoney gives you honest, readable delivery status—fast.
Call me an idiot, but I just sent $25 directly to Elon Musk, the richest man in the world using @XMoney for no other reason than I just can. lol
