ALT A quote from EIF director of evidence Dr Aleisha Clarke that reads: "We believe that the Early Years Library can support an increasing focus on practitioners’ daily practices and interactions with children outside of or alongside full-scale programmes. The integration of these practices into everyday activities has the potential to make a meaningful change in enhancing the quality of interactions between practitioners and young children."

1/ Launched today: The #EarlyYearsLibrary offers free resources for early childhood education practitioners supporting language & early literacy, numeracy, & social-emotional skills. It's based on research by @TheEIFoundation & @PEDALCam @Cambridge_Uni.
@NuffieldFound @SaraBCam
Crucially, the #EarlyYearsLibrary is an evidence-informed tool, drawing on the most common practices across a set of evidence-based programmes. It’s free and open to use, and aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We hope it will provide #EarlyYears settings and practitioners (incl. childminders, preschool and nursery staff) with the confidence and skills to introduce new strategies and approaches into their practice. #EarlyYearsLibrary

The Early Years Library team have been working hard to gather and analyse the most common strategies of successful early interventions to make them easily accessible to practitioners across the early years sector! We’re nearly finished and we can’t wait to share it with you!
Our Panel of Experts by Experience made some great points in our introductory workshops. Lovely to see children at the heart! It’s clear, too, that practitioners aren’t looking for a tick list when it comes to guidance.
