A phenomenal moment in the Senate. Eric Schmitt, R-Mo., claims he has evidence Jack Smith went to a HAWKS game in Atlanta. Smith denies it. Schmitt declares he has busted Jack Smith for perjury. Smith, vexed, says he went to HAWKEYES game in Maryland. Watch the whole thing:

Reporter on Bond Market: The yields have come back up since then. Have you talked to Bessent about another type of intervention.? Trump: The ultimate intervention is our military. And if we have to use that, we will.

What’s most extraordinary about El-Sayed’s remark is ignorance that we spend more per pupil for a failing k-12 system than any other country. No amount of money redirected to more union-controlled public schools will fix a problem rooted in system that has abandoned accountability in favor of life time employment/pensions for adults.
So that's a yes, you are against funding to things like the Iron Dome? Abdul El-Sayed: "I am against it, in large part because I just don't understand why anybody thinks it's the right thing to do to send our tax dollars abroad, to fund foreign militaries when our own kids barely get to go to schools that are functional."

Japan's official FX intervention in May swamps anything in recent history by a huge margin, even as the Yen has fallen back to where it was before intervention. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different result. robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/…

Japan runs a risky sovereign wealth on borrowed money. The Japanese public sector funds this SWF at below-market rates through the issuance of bank reserves at the BoJ. Japan's foray into QE and YCC is really a market-friendly continuation of its low-rate financial repression policies after it "liberalized" its capital markets and the government was about lose access to cheap, below-market-rate funding. In Japan, the fiscal magic happens not because r<g, but it happens because r is lower than the realized returns on its highly risky investments. For now.. Check out my blog post. What about Japan? 5 minutes before Trump’s announcement: * $1.5B notional worth of S&P500 (ES) futures are bought in a single clip. * $192M notional of oil futures (CL) sold. More than 4x-6x any other trade size during the market close. Insiders profited from his lies in broad daylight!

I resigned from xAI today. This company - and the family we became - will stay with me forever. I will deeply miss the people, the warrooms, and all those battles we have fought together. It's time for my next chapter. It is an era with full possibilities: a small team armed with AIs can move mountains and redefine what's possible. Thank you to the entire xAI family. Onward. 🚀 And to Elon @elonmusk - thank you for believing in the mission and for the ride of a lifetime.

Grok 4.20 is seriously crushing markets right now It’s sitting at the top across live trading platforms and actually making money, not just looking good on tests We’re talking roughly 10–12% returns in live trading, about 3–4× the S&P 500 over the same period, across: • Alpha Arena • PredictionArena • Rallies Currently Grok 4.20 is outperforming all the frontier models like Gemini 3 Pro, Claude Opus 4.5, GPT‑5.2 This is real money in live markets and Grok 4.20 is doing the work
