My dear friend Nora Sage/Art Peddler was behind Jerry’s airbrush art being printed as signed and numbered lithos. Younger Jerry attended the SF Art Institute and continued lifelong “doodles” … Nora convinced him they would be received as something more. She was right.
Nora made sure The Psychedelic Shop was the first retail store EVER to sell his art: WETLANDS I was the first litho produced - they sold faster than she predicted and WETLANDS II followed quickly … and much more, including J Garcia silk ties, shirts and vests. Jerry loved the affirmation of his artwork. They sell for a LOT more today … I should have held on to more of them❣️

This male monarch, 🦋 RMT26002, is in Ohio after crossing Lake Erie in 3 hours on Sept. 6.
He has flown 449km since leaving Toronto on Sept. 1st. He was equipped with a BluMorph device and released in Toronto last Tuesday.

Thirty eight years ago … some of us were lucky enough to be at this magical run of shows - the last West Coast stop before we all headed east for Fall Tour. What an incredible venue and music! Dang, I cherish those days with our chosen family. Life felt so different then. We danced, we camped, we looked out for each other … it was pure organa-groovy magic. So many beautiful memories of a time when we were wild and free to just be and lovin life to the fullest.
