They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

WHERE IN SCOTLAND?
Where is this?
This is part of an image that appears somewhere on Undiscovered Scotland. Please reply with your answers. We'll award kudos to the first correct response before posting the next in the series tomorrow.

ALT Today's 'Where in Scotland' image. It is a squarish image showing a view along a grassy cliff that slopes from heights on the right down to a rough blue sea on the left. Along the bottom of the cliff are stone houses, placed end-on to the sea and with grey slate or red tile roofs. There is a red telephone box in the bottom right of the frame. The scene is in sunlight.

This weekend, The King and Queen attended the Braemar Gathering Highland Games. 🏴
Positioned close to Balmoral, the Games are held every year on the first Saturday in September.
Having run in its present form since 1832, the event features a host of traditional Highland Games contests, including tug-of-war and the caber toss, along with performances from pipe bands and Highland dancers.

💙 As Scotland Loves Local turns five, we're celebrating the Scotland Loves Local Gift Card - a simple idea that’s had a big impact. 💥
People want to support local, and the gift card helps make that easy. It’s already driven over £16 million of local spending and is accepted by more than 6,000 businesses across Scotland, from independent shops to visitor attractions.
But there’s even more potential ahead.
We’re working with partners like @VisitScotland , transport operators, and heritage organisations to grow where and how the card can be used, helping to reinforce local identity, support businesses, and keep money circulating in communities.
🎥 Watch our new video sharing the story so far – and where we’re headed next.

📣 Theme revealed for Scotland Loves Local Week 2025‼
People Make Places 💙
This year, we’re celebrating the everyday champions who make our communities so special, from local business owners and volunteers, to creative innovators and changemakers.
Running from Saturday 23 August, Scotland Loves Local Week will spotlight the transformational impact of choosing local, supporting friends, family and neighbours by backing the businesses and people at the heart of our places.
Organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership, the week features social media campaigns, political visits and community-led events across the country. Everyone is encouraged to get involved, from Improvement Districts and local authorities, to individuals and businesses.
As STP Chief Officer Kimberley Guthrie says:
🗣 “Scotland Loves Local Week is the chance to shout about the great things that are happening where you live, and the people whose innovation, determination and dedication make our communities the great places they are.”
Let’s work together to build a fairer, stronger, and more sustainable Scotland - one local choice at a time.
