HOS will be surveying breeding waders in the New Forest again this year and we'll need a large number of surveyors. We'll also be monitoring nesting House Martins across the county. Please get in touch if you would like to help with either project!

Recent watercolour of Hawfinches frequenting Yew in a local private garden.
With the help of Greenfinches and 4 species of thrush the berry feast has now all but gone.
Original available.
A great couple of days @gibpoint . Thrushes everywhere, 1000s of Pink-feet, Woodcocks in the dunes & a 'Merv'. An excursion to Donna Nook produced the the best views of Pallas's Warbler I've ever had.

Terrible service from @British_Airways electronic check in unavailable beforehand & now stuck in a queue for manual check in. Only 4 desks open & >100 people queueing. No chance of catching a 7:10 flight. Dreadful service.
1st trapping session for 10 days produced 144:44 including this Burnished Brass nfy. Precious little evidence of migration with just 1 each of Silver Y & Rusty Dot Pearl.

In 2019, we set 10 camera traps from 65-90m in the crown of the world's tallest tropical tree, with no real idea whether they'd get anything at all
They did 🤩
