Akkipeddi et al. report that histone content (and thus DNA 🧬) in #stroke thrombectomy clots is positively associated with lysis by DNase alongside tPA,
BUT ➖ ▶️ lysis by tPA alone.
This suggests a new target in acute ischemic stroke therapy 💊
