🚨 URGENT BREAKING: Health and safety investigation launched after man mauled to death by tiger at Yorkshire Wildlife Park.
• The man died on Saturday after entering the tiger enclosure at the Doncaster wildlife park and being attacked by an Amur tiger.
• City of Doncaster Council, the park’s licensing authority, has launched a formal health and safety investigation into the fatal incident.
• Emergency services attended shortly after 1.30pm, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
• The tiger, named Altai, was uninjured and remained inside the enclosure.
• The investigation will examine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy as authorities work with the wildlife park and other agencies.

The footage is disturbing. At first, the man appears to face the tiger without an immediate attack. Moments later, the situation turns terrifying, with the tiger biting and dragging him.

Fresno Bee sportswriting legend Andy Boogaard suffered a severe stroke with brain bleeding on July 11. He spent five days in the ICU and is now in a rehabilitation hospital facing a long, difficult road to recovery.
The Hanford native dedicated 41 years to The Fresno Bee before retiring in 2017. For generations of athletes, coaches, parents, and sports fans across the Valley, AB wasn’t just a sportswriter, he was a part of our lives.
To the athletes playing today, you will never truly know what it was like to wake up on a Saturday morning and see an @AndyBoog19 story about your Friday night lights game. Seeing your name in his column was something special. He made you feel like your game mattered.
Andy told the stories of our athletes, our teams, and our communities for decades. Now it’s our turn to tell his story and to lift him up in prayer.
Please join me in praying for Sir Andy Boogaard, a true Valley sports legend and Hall of Famer.
